Ok Madara get back his rinnegan and.... what? Rinnegan is a trash compare to Madaras opponents right now.
Obito had even greater powers and still lost so rinnegan alone wont save Madara.
He can smile how he wants but hes trash right now.
Even if he becomes Juubi junchuriki nobady cares cuz Juubi already was defeated once.
I think the only chance for him is to make his rinnegan stronger or even get eyes above rinnegan.

The Juubi was defeated because it was not complete. It didnt need to be complete to activate the genjustu but the risk was it could be destroyed. Madara is in the process of collecting ALL biju chakra not fractions of Nine and Eight tails.

I get what you're saying with Juubi, however, Madara is clearly more experienced and smarter than Obito in every way. I'm sure he has a plan or some techs in place just for this type of occasion.
