Sennin Mode
The very basis of this techinque is to gather Natural energy and mix it with your own chakra [Yin and Yang energies] to create a much more powerful chakra. This grants you a number of abilites:
- Stronger Ninjutsu [
- Stonger Taijutsu
- Stronger Genjutsu
- Heightened Sensory skills
These abilities are what is in common within all Sennin modes, however; they all differ in a certain field.
The Toad Sennin Mode is distinct from the rest of the Sennin Mode transformations by its toad-like eyes and colored pigmentation to the sides of the eyes [and more toad-like features if not perfected]. The only known human masters of it are Jiraiya and Naruto Uzumaki.
The specialized ability granted by Toad Sennin Mode is strength and durability.
- Fukasaku, a mere toad, was able to lift a boulder many times his size, a testament to the Toad Sennin Mode. [
- Naruto falls from a onto several protruding spikes, survives, and says that he did not feel pain. [
- Naruto tosses Chikushōdō's Kuchiyose, the Rhino, far into the sky. [
- Jiraiya kicks Ningendō crashing into debris. [
I could continue, however; the point has been made.
The abilities granted by Snake Sennin Mode are speed and perception.
- Kabuto dodges Sasuke's Susano'o arrow, visually stunning Sasuke, and crediting it to his heightened perception [and his speed]. [
- His speed was enough to hit Itachi Uchiha with Sasuke's sword before he could react. [
- He also blitzes Itachi once again here. [
- It is also worth mentioning Sasuke, who is known for his affilliation with snakes, is known for his perception [
I digress...
Before we start... it is indeed called Slug Sennin Mode. Kabuto states he learned his Sennin Mode from Ryūchidō, equally as famous [for Sennin Mode] as Myōbokuzan and Shikkotsurin. [
Slug Sennin Mode is different from the other Sennin Modes by the addition of red pigmentation around the eyes, followed by increased facial markings and a circle on the head. The only known user is Hashirama Senju.
The ability granted by Slug Sennin Mode is healing.
- Madara Uchiha stated that Hashirama Senju had an unknown technique able to heal from wounds that required no handseals. He also stated his techniques were on a different level than average shinobi. These both can be attributed to, conveniently, to Slug Sennin Mode. [
- When Hashirama enters Slug Sennin Mode, his wounds begin to disappear [note the area near his eyes]. [
- It is worth noting that this Sennin Mode lacks the durability of Naruto and Jiraiya's version, shown by Madara Uchiha being stabbed by Sasuke Uchiha. [
- It is also worth noting that after Madara acquired Slug Sennin Mode his wounds began to heal [though it could be due to the Kyubi's chakra]. [
- And again, it is worth noting that Tsunade and Sakura, both affiliated with slugs, are known for their healing [mastery of the greatest Iryō Ninjutsu, Byakugō]. [
Sadly,this Sennin Mode is lacking in feats so we can only assume the powers of it.
And those are the distinct abilities of each individual Sennin mode...

The Snake Sennin Mode gives the user darkened sclerae, snake-like eyes, and protruding horns from their body. The only known users are Kabuto Yakushi and Orochimaru [now that he possess Hashirama's DNA he is able to use it].The abilities granted by Snake Sennin Mode are speed and perception.
