Both have experimented in body alterations
Both now have experiment with sharingan
oh yeah heres the kicker
Both share the ability to absorb chakra
so this theory may still be plausible
I think that at one point in time Madara had met Orochimaru. I say this because Madara died within the last 20 years Orochimaru would have been around 30. Who else know more about immortality then Orochimaru. I think that at some point Orochimaru genetically reconstructed a comatose Madara kept alive with a Zetsu completely secret from obito . The rebuilt Madara being the sacrifice for madara's edo tensei. Its never stated how Madara's edo was special just that it was. in the end its still a mystery.
And before anyone says it has nothing to do with his edo well. It has everything to do with it because as we have seen Rinne rebirth resurrects the dead in their own body. For those who don't know Edo bodies are dust and ash molded over a living sacrifice. meaning that the above theory false then it doesn't make sense that when madara was resurrected he should have been revived in his own body not the sacrifices. also another reason my theory works is based on the fact that his eyes fade away but his body looks the same (outside of the fact its now living
