question about california theft law! please help

So I just had my tablet stolen while at work. One guy was buying a phone with his credit card. His friend that he came with and talking to and everything grabbed my tablet while I was selling the phone. So I have the guy who didn't steal the phone infor. His name and everything. Beside file a police report what else can I do?

While I don't know anything at all about California law, I do suggest you snoop around facebook (not to contact him) but to see if you can identify him from the friend list. And then of course you should alert and update the authorities.

Thank you I appreciate the advice. I hate people that steal. It's a ****ed up thing to do to your fellow human. And not to sound racist but these guys were black and people like them give the black community a bad rap. It's not fair because I know a lot of amazing black people that would never do that but you only here about pieces of Shit like the ones who stole my Shit.
