To my knowledge that was whilst connected to Tengen Toppa and this is the alive Genome Simon defeated.

Well, Genome has the same spiral power like simon's and simon's guren lagann alone destroys several small drills of the final boss's mecha which is multi-galaxy to universe buster.
Genome would drill a big ass hole on Madara's PS.

Mhm very true but we're only restricting to him to base Lazengan like he had in the Simon fight, whilst Genome was able to create a whole fleet and get to Super Galaxy Lazengan level we're leaving it at base. Hell, maybe even get rid of Lazengan knowing how much he hates using them...he smashed base aerial Gurren Lagann with his bare fists...

Guren lagann(no power-up) separated from Tengen Toppa is still able to destroy those several small drills (that i stated in my previous post) because of simon and nia's will power.
IF YOU BELIEVE, YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING is Tengen Toppa Guren Lagann verse's Logic.
If Genome believes he can beat madara, He'll win no doubt.
