Unohana has the appearance of a slender and very youthful woman with blue eyes and black hair. She wears the standard captain uniform apart from using an obi instead of the normal sash. Her hair is long and is almost always worn as a large braid in front.
人格|PERSONALITY
Unohana has a gentle and warm personality that augments her appearance. Unohana is a soft-spoken, polite, and caring woman who uses honorifics when addressing everyone, including her subordinates and the enemy. She rarely shows any signs of panic or distress, and has a great sense of duty. However, after the revelation of her past as the first Kenpachi and Shunsui Kyōraku calling on her to draw on her experience from then, Unohana's personality has taken a much darker turn. Remaining ominously silent during the meeting with the Central 46, it isn't until her fight with the current Kenpachi that she shows her original violent and bloodthirsty nature, commenting how the scar left on her chest was causing her pain just from the sound of the latter's voice.

History
Unohana was born into the Bartholomew clan; her father being an Bartholomew while her mother on the other hand was a simple citizen of kumo.. she grew up in kiri, being a loner until as a genin she left the village to rogue her way through life. Around the age of 12 she decided to visit her mothers home village and after a few weeks of visiting she decided that it was a perfect home for her. So, yeah, she grew up there, becoming a genuine master of wind while also making a few friends or so she thought. At some point in her life she was sent on a mission to Ame along with venom and Ieyasu to do a sort of trial battle to learn the rain village's secret skill; the rain element. Unlike a lot of noobs, the three easily passed the battle and was granted the ability. Later on she and Ieyasu had decided to train in the element together and hone their rain skills as a duo, which was perfect since Unohana saw Ieyasu as a personal rival. She also saw venom and Yashiro as potential rivals in skill, though venom wasn't like the other two, he punked out a lot so Unohana didn't fight him much. As his life went on, she became a very deceitful and untrustworthy shinobi even to her fellow villagers; leaving only a very small hand full of them trusting her.
After having a fall out with the village hidden in the clouds, Unohana packed her stuff up and began a random journey around the nw. Being only like 15, Unohana wasn't used to being alone so after a while she seeked a home within the wind country and found one within the sand village. There she became a trustworthy shinobi and began honing her abilities to protect her new home.
Soon she grew to the point where she was appointed the peace general of the entire village, and was the most skilled in the village.
