Neji's death + hyuga clan + orochimaru

So I never really post here, I just sort of lurk, but it bothers me how the Hyuga clan still hasn't been explained. I wont go into all those theories and stuff, but I just had a thought. Not a theory, but a possible reason why Neji died(?)

Just a few note worthy things

1. So given it's one of the 3 Dojutsu the hyuga likely have some connection with uchiha/rennigan
2. Kakashi mentioned the sharingans link with the Byakugan (Yes it was just a rumour, but possibly Kishi forshadowing something etc)
3. They seal the branch families eyes when they die to protect the secrets of the Byakugan or something along those lines. Why would Kishimoto just mention this and then leave them to become useless like Kiba? I think there is something more to it personally.

Anyway, suddenly we have Madara on the battlefield who knows all the secrets of the SO6P, we have Uchiha with EMS, a dead Hyuga who was noted as being a genius when it came to eye prowess and rather conveniently Orochimaru who has always been the REAL villian here. Whether he edos neji or somehow undoes the seal to do something with his eyes... idk.

Just seems rather convenient imo.

No, sorry the Hyuga clan is what it is. If they had any significance in regards to the so6p....somebody would have mentioned it by now.

Perhaps the Hyuga clan was just placed there to be an adversary to Naruto during the Genin exams and for filler?

I think Orochimaru has a wider selection of more powerful ninja than Neji at his disposal to be Edo'd to be honest.

There are many things left unexplained in the Naruto Universe, as of now the manga's tone towards the Hyuga Clan hasn't shown any significance to further explain the Hyuga Clan, if they need any further explanation. Which I don't think they do.

There just a powerful clan, with eye kekkei genkai. I know you want to think that they hold a more powerful secret, but not every clan can be like Uchiha or the Senju.

I have been hoping he would elaborate for a while on the Hyuga, but seeing as we are nearing the manga...it doesn't seem likely anymore. The most we can bet for at this point is Naruto really changing the clan once he becomes hokage to where there is no side/main branch and they are all equal.

Orochimaru has never really sought out the Byakugan it seems, so I don't see this as all that likely. If he really wanted one he could have easily got one by kidnapping someone back when he was still in the leaf. There's still a lot of Hyuuga around they aren't practically extinct like the Uchiha clan.
