Well im a anime freak and I would love to get a symbol from any manga that i loved to read. People say wow thats stupid or dont think thats very smart. The fact is people get tattoos of more idiotic things that are ridiculous. Anime to me is life lessons; and hidden messages are exposed from your own perspective on the show. LOl thoe i was wondering how you feel about it in general? And if your going to get a tattoo of your favorite anime post a pic or something im curious.

Its up to the person man do what makes you happy if you wanna have a giant tat of the 9 tailed beasts on your back (for example) just do it dont live for the future or past live in the present be happy now even if it might cost you some sadness later that sadness will only be temporary if it even exists

It's a bad move to get anime characters' faces as tattoos, simply because people would judge you without actually knowing you. Better get a symbols or logos from some animes

Its literally your desicion. If you wanna get the Fairy Tail emblem (for some reason, that was my first thought while reading the OP) then get it.

I agree with VariaBossX, get a quote, no pictures. The lessons you learned from the anime seem to be more in your interest, so quotes are difintely the way to go. Visit different websites with quotes from anime that you like.

Tattoo's should be something personal. it shouldn't really matter what other people think anyway.
I had a half-sleeve (shoulder to elbow) containing a pirate ship with blank sails (and other stuff).
I was like you and wanted a little something as a tribute to my favourite anime (FMA:Brotherhood). I'm also a believer in the idea of alchemy. Turning something useless into something good. (Turning a negative into a postitive).
So I went back a few months later and got the FMA Flamel (the cross design on Edwards red jacket) put onto the flag at the top of the ship. I don't regret it.
To anyone else, they wouldn't even know what it was. They would just assume it was part of the ship, nothing more. But obviously its personal to me, and I know what it is.

But like I say, its all personal stuff. In my opinion, someone saying "you should get that tattoo!" isn't enough reason to go out and get a tattoo. Don't forget it will be on your body forever, so make sure you yourself are 100% sure. The fact that you are even asking random people's opinions is kind of worrying... lol

No. If you want to get a tattoo that somehow relates to an anime pick something people wont recognize it's from an anime. Like a quote, logo or something that symbolizes the anime/anime character.
