That is more or less how I pretty much see it going, Kishi loves to play the redemption card and Obito has yet to have his big redemption moment or his death speech, whenever someone dies they give a big monologue.

Everything that happens in this manga is plot, that's kinda the definition. If you want the manga to play out the way you feel is best then write a bloody manga.

His job was to resurrect Madara, not to bring him down. He already tried to resurrect everyone and he failed. He doesn't need any further redemption.
