Um, obviously.
Even though, he's blind, he has full control of Hashirama's power (including his Senjutsu chakra now). He's more then capable of capturing and sealing the tailed beast just as easily as he would be killing anyone that opposed him. Of course, something will happen to allow Naruto to win... but, let's not forget about the one villian everybody forgets about - Orochimaru. He has yet to be showcased fighting alongside Sasuke. Who in the hell knows what he's got cooked up? Orochimaru is gonna come in and solo God-ara.

As of currently yes. With everyone at their prime he is second. After Rikudou, that is. If given all of his abilities he's acquired he would have.

As for now Madara is by far the strongest (and we still haven't saw sh1t)
the strongest character ever is Kaguya Ootsutski.
and Jin Obito solos current Madara mid difficulty.

N-O-P-E His sage mode is inferior to that of Hashirama's.

Rikudou Sennin is the most powerful character in the Narutoverse.
But if we're talking about the most powerful character alive, Madara is the strongest by far both now and in his Edo form.

Oh my god, after reading the last chapter, i am shocked by how Madara just pitted the alliance with only Taijutsu.
-Fodderised Amatersu
-Fodderised Fodderuto and Fodderai
-Fodderised Fodderama
-Fodderised Fodderuke
-Fodderised a number of fodders
And now he is going to take on the 7 bijuu. Madara is an absolutely badass and the king of shinobi. He even stole Sage mode. Realize that he did all of this BLIND, NO RINNEGAN NOR ANY OF HIS POWERS. Just TAIJUTSU.
Look at the power of a blind 0% powered Uchiha Madara. Just how strong is this god.

he is using hashi's healing factor, and he can absorb chakra, not only is he using ninjutsu, he's using highly OP jutsu that doesn't require handseals, it's more than simple taijutsu he's using, that much is certain.
