is it just me or Kishi is somehow relating to us how he used to be a failure when comes to dating? all naruto characters are such failures when it comes to dating, name it the list is long. however there is this constant boy to boy relationship going on for instance Madara and Hashi, Danzo and Hiruzen, Oro and Jiraiya, Tobi and Kakashi, Sasuke and naruto and on... (i have nothing on gay but this is manga is quite questionable on dating position. don't you think?)

I seem to agree with this...

Why can he make a successful straight relationship in the story.
E.g. NarutoXSakura or NarutoXHinata or anyone as long as there is.

But if we look at another angle for a reason on this - maybe it is reflected to his personal life; I don't know but he probably is a hopeless romantic guy...

None of those male relationships that you speak of are actually romantic or dating relationships. Fans just pair any two guys together if they show any sign of rivalry or close friendship for some reason. Really, the manga hasn't shown any dating whatsoever (except Naruto and Sakura going on that "date" after beating the bell test drill in part 2), much less dating failures.

It's a Shounen manga. The majority of the readers don't care too much for relationship, so why focus on them? It's the same with most other manga.

Even if it's a shounen manga , if you're gonna have a little romance you should at least do it without any BS , Kishi is just lucky to be married .

the manga is about friendship and bonds and seeing how this manga is aimed at boys whose best friend will most likely be boys in this way the audience can relate also japans culture may differ to ours when it comes to male friendship or friendship in general also this manga has never tackled dating so how can it have dating failures this isnt a romance manga

Why do you care about cartoons dating anyways?

Maybe he is just not that romantic or do not like to integrate romance in the story. But I am amazed how he portray different emotions in the story.

However, I'm kinda feel that the story is somewhat DRY cause there is no at least a bit of straight romance projection. Look at how SAO and any other Harem Anime like Oreimo clicked.

Why do you care about cartoons dating anyways?

hahahaha Naruto is a CARTOON.

This guy...........

Mostly but not to all.

do you remember when Naruto was dreaming about sasuke? or the time he kissed him? or what about all those so called "winning relationships" which happened under " plot no justsu" like hashi and his wife, or hirusen's kid. hun? i like kishi but this manga is somehow relating his personal past.

You're looking for a good romance in Shounen?

Solution 1: Go somewhere else.

when did he dream about sasuke? also the kiss was for comedic purposes and it was by accident its not like they intentionally kissed. and yes of course there will be some relationships as without them then no new characters could really exist but they pretty much happened of screen so i wouldnt use them and call naruto a manga about dating, this manga as a whole has never really tackled dating as a plot theme the most kishi has actually gone into romance is minato and kushina and even then it wasnt dating it was minato saving kushina so to say he failed at dating when he hasn't really concentrated or even tackled dating is a bit ridiculous

i understand the fact that Kishi is focused on the fight and all. however on the other side we all see these character couples who are keen to engage into some relationship but nothing happens and they all forget about the girl and attach themselves with boys!!! look at kakashi, Nagato, itachi,... so much boys to boys my point.

Not romantically however.
