You're gonna have to give a better explanation than 'I don't see how can Deidara harm her'. The explosive power Deidara's bombs have will harm anyone who doesn't have a shield or some kind of way to bypass the explosions.

2] Katsuyu isn't anything special considering that she doesn't deal well with heat just like the rest of the slugs and unlike Pein's attack which happens to be a force, Deidara's attacks are explosions. A couple of larger Shī Tsū explosions will kill Katsuyu considering their size.

Actually explosions in NV are overrated. Point blank explosive tags aren't doing shit even to non-durable characters with no regeneration (look Sakura).
When using Ranshinshou, Tsunade actually creates her own electricy. Still, it's not Raiton.
