assuming this, it would not surprise me if one of the unknown contracted peaple (there were shown at least 6 and we only know of naruto, minato and jiraya) summoning contract is that of none other than tobirama senju.
this would however require him to use store a bit of chakra inside of the seal, and have the same kind of "shadow cloney" connection with that chakra.

the reason they were called the three sanin was because they were the only ones to survive a battle with hanzo.. it has nothing to do with their techniques.
you are confusing ftg with heavenly transfer technique.. what you are discribing would be like using a vessel to protect you from the stress your body would endure.. it should work if you would make yourself tiny using the transformation jutsu... but its not ftg

because we do not know if it is possible to set up your own summoning contract, it is easier to assume that tobirama was already a part of one and worked from there... it must be quite a hassle to set up such a space time transportation thingy

I think they were referred to as legendary because of their battle with Hanzo. Their "sennin" status I believe more so comes from their relationship with their nature-driven summoning animals. ("sennin" means "sage" and we know 2/3 of them studied sage techniques with their animals)

OT: You are wrong because you are forgetting FTG works around his chakra, not the tags. In other words, wherever his chakra is, he can use FTG to travel to that location. "Tags" are only needed to tie down his chakra to a specific location in the event that he doesn't have a clone there or something with his chakra fused in it. The tags aren't a necessity so therefore your idea of a reverse summoning is incorrect. It was a nice thought though
