'Versus' threads

So after staring at this page for like a thousandth time, I'm beginning to feel like versus threads are kind of useless and don't prove anything. It's obvious that Madara should never get caught in Hashi's wood dragon, and ppl will argue it all day (actual logical argument because he has PS which should be able to stand up to the wood dragon), but it's quite obvious that Kishi will do anything to move the plot along. That's why it's ridiculous in versus threads when ppl for example say Sasuke will cover the whole battlefield in Amaterasu and Minato won't be able to use FTG or Sasuke will cover his FTG kunais in Amaterasu, even though it's totally logical, do you really think Kishi would make Minato's ftg kunais so useless if Sasuke were to face Minato?. Or Tobirama won't be able to react to third/fourth raikage's speed without FTG if plot necessitates that he does??..

So yeah versus threads are kinda pointless and even if you have a ''better'' argument, it still doesn't prove that that Character is stronger than the other, or he will win the fight if they were to fight in the manga. It all depends on kishi and the plot

All characters have strengths and weaknesses it all depends on the scenario and place. Kishi is getting ready to end the manga that's why he probably makes some plot holes sometimes.

As I've said before vs threads are useless.

Take Minato vs Tobi for ex on paper people could argue for 10+ pages as to why Tobi beats him but the fact remains Minato owned Tobi in seconds

Another would be Kakashi vs Obito or say Edo Hashirama vs Edo Madara. What people think and what actually happenes are different things U_U

That's why one should believe in the hype and character's canonical portrayal rather than stupid vs threads U_U

Eh it's just supposed to be for fun. IMO there are 3 major ways to look at things..

A manga fight (1 extreme, uses plot to ensure that there is a victory), raw feats battle (using only manga panels and not taking any assumptions, the other extreme that involves calculations and what not), and manga comprehension (using implied abilities to figure out who should win). For example, let's say we know a ninja is a kage but have only seen him/her using one basic jutsu, obviously a feats-only approach doesn't work very well and a genin level ninja might beat the kage in the manga but if we use comprehension we can assume the power level. Now feats hangs on things like blitzing, using a single powerful ability, etc. that wouldn't happen in a normal Naruto fight... but if it's not mentioned in the manga or given an example of its power than it probably won't be used as a major theme in a manga fight. So I guess the best way is a balance between them.. just my perspective.

We do vs. threads because it's all factual feats and scenarios, there's no plot involved unlike the manga. What you are describing is plot vs. what would really happen.

it`s not like madara couldnt defend against those wood dragons :|

if he considered that a true battle to the end he would use his full power.like you said,he has PS

madara was only leading them on with a false conviction of their victory so that the surprise of him breaking out(becoming alive) would be that greater.madara loves drama if you havent figured that out till now.

he could have owned the five kages from the very start with PS but he was just playing along,testing their powers and unleashed his PS at the very end when everyone thought he was done for

all sasuke fapboys , except some sasuke fanboys , always made the versus threads
Some jutsu might > some other jutsus
but making a whole thread based on some jutsu and arguing that someone can beat other ninjas by using ''this'' jutsu is a useless thinking

E.g SM naruto couldnt killed 3rd raikage by FRS but naruto killed him with his simple Rasengan this doesnt proved that Rasengan > everything or every jutsu

mostly of sasuke fapboys daily makes a thread which proves nothing other than their their nuisance
one of sasuke fapboy which is a number 1 troller in NB is a guy with avatar of ''rinnegan sasuke''

mostly of these sasuke fapboys are hardly 11 years old and they always showed thier FOD ( short form of fodder ) sasuke as a LORD

i am not against sasuke but i am against those butthurt sasuke fapboys (except some other good sasuke fanboys)

They're not totally useless. I once correctly guessed that Gaara could use sand to extract a Susanoo user from Susanoo. This was BEFORE it happened in the manga

And they're fun...........
