I don't like the first one. The text makes it worst.
As for the second one, its wayyyy to large. And the text is not good:

• Its not placed properly.
• It has been stroked too largely, maybe reduce it to a stroke of 2 px or 1.
• The colors seem bland.

But other than that, I like the second one. Can you post the render?

The second sig is awesome but it's pretty huge, and the text isn't really nice (watch tuts on text blending).
The first... Not so much (agreed with Horus)

The second isn't a Signature, it's really a Large Artwork.

Since people have already CnC'ed the text, I'd say that the text colour is very childish. It doesn't really fit the mood of the piece at all.

Don't think of text and borders as a way to finish off a half-arsed design. Think of them as just the icing on the cake.

And the second one is way too large, and it's already been CnC'ed so nothing left though keep practicing.
