I'm on chapter 95 right now and just had a question...

So when Zoro fought that Mihawk guy, he got injuries that would keep him down for 2 years, but he's working that out. Now I know that Luffys injuries were nowhere near as intense as his after beating , but from the looks of it he should've at the very least showed some signs of fatigue when facing Arlog, but he seemed fine.

So I'm asking, for 1, did Luffy beat both Krieg and Arlog in one day? And does this imply increased recovery rates, or just a mistake?

It has never been confirmed, but it is assumed that it took a day or two to reach Arlong Park. Plus, Luffy gets better by eating meat.

Well, you will learn with time that zoro is just a freaking boss, and luffy needs food....LOTS of it.

Besides, blunt force does not affect luffy that much, he is more vulnerable to cuts.

Some devil fruits can aid in stopping damage or make what would damage someone without one negligible. Luffy's devil fruit stops pretty much all non stabbing or explosive damage from even hurting him since he is a made of rubber. A simple punch or something like that won't even hurt Luffy. So a lot of the damage it looks like luffy takes may not actually be damaging him that much.

A reason for Luffy's ability to recover quickly is the amount he can eat. He is able to eat massive amounts of energy and heal faster from eating food. Without his devil fruit he wouldn't be able to expand and eat as much as he does, so I guess that could be considered an ability.

As far as the arlong and Don krieg thing goes, I believe it spans a couple days, because of travel time. Though I'm not sure because I don't think it ev er says. Zoro is definitely still heavily wounded from his previous fight, and I'm not sure if I remember correctly but I don't think Luffy was at 100% either, but he was in way better shape than zoro. So it definitely wasn't a large amount of time that past between each place. A couple days most likely. Let me say that it doesn't mean increased recovery rates, since I don't believe both fights happened on the same day. It is entirely possible it was on the same day, but I don't want to go back and re-read right now. I don't think it was. (One piece doesn't really offer much in the department of how long it takes to travel from place to place).

Also Zoro and Luffy are special in how fast they recover and how much pain they can withstand. Very special cases. Zoro is a badass and Luffy has food.

As you keep reading I think you will come to understand the recovery rate question more.

it was for 2 weeks , not 2 years lol. Anyway , in which chapter did you see that it would keep him down for "2 years"?

There is one, I think so, there a guy called Marco who got the bird type Devil Fruit, Phoenix. It is somewhat similar to increasing the recovery rate.

Luffy's recovery somewhat also depends on his food, though I won't say totally. But about that thing with Mihawk.
To put it simply, you can't compare Mihawk's Cut Slash to krieg's attacks. He is like a bug to Mihawk. That slash from would've left a mark on luffy too had Mihawk cut him. It wouldn't have matter if it were zoro(and it didn't) or Luffy.
Also read the part when zoro was fighting was fighting hatchan, it was stated that the wound he received from Mihawk would've left a normal person incapable to move for six months. Again implying that the attack wasn't ordinary.

They don't. However there is one which does.
View this at your own risk! (SPOILER)

There is however a class of DF's (like Smokers) which can technically avoid being wounded altogether.

All Luffy needs to recover is meat. It also seems like he's one of those people that are naturally gifted.

Rinne's post reminded me that a special class of devil fruit users have shown better recovery rate. Aside from certain character whose DF is all about healing and regeneration, some others (actually two) have shown to immediately recover from a cut they got.
Akainu and Kizaru have shown this aside from the person whose DF is all about regeneration. Both are logia DF users like Smoker.
Though not all DFs do this.
