How the fuq does Alive Madara > Edo madara?
There's got to be some reason, since he obviously is.

Possible reasons.
1) He can use the Gedo Mazo's more OP'd jutsu, that require "Your life force" ( Something edo's don't have )

Who knows how many jutsu there are like this..

2) Maybe he can use Edo-tensi himself now?
Mayhap you have to be alive to use it?

He has great knowledge of the jutsu, being able to counter it and knowing exactly how it worked.
ALSO.

Notice what he said?
"Let's switch".

Maybe he's going to use Edo tensi on Obito? He'd be under his control then, and he could also summon Izuna, or some other OP'd Uchiha from the past.

Also, he's obviously going to be fighting alot harder now, as his life is at "Risk".

Can anyone else think of any other real reasons he could be stronger?

Because Edo's aren't revived at full power, his power seems to have been inferior to his power right now. There's also the possibility that Kabuto revived him less powerful on purpose, since someone as powerful as Madara would already be quite hard to control.

Kabuto revived Madara as "Better than your best".
And Madara said "Now I can fight normally!"
Leading me to believe it's not his strength that's changed, just his fighting style/Techniques.

This could seriously be it.
He's been lazy as **** so far, Solo'd the kages with ease ( Even stopped to talk to them lmao ).
Has been toying with Hashirama.

I'm not sure how others interpreted it, but I thought "let's switch" was reffering to the fact that Obito is most likely going to be the dead one now, and not Madara as he's being revived.

Of course, his fighting style is going to be different. Waltz put it perfectly.
Waltz said:
Firstly, Even though Kabuto's version of the Edo Tensei superseded Orochimaru's it still wasn't perfect. Through the Hokages it was learnt that they were still not resurrected at their full potential; which naturally would put power restrictions on all techniques. Secondly, without being an Edo Tensei Madara would no longer have an excuse for holding back in terms of power as while zombified he could afford to die and willfully take damage which he could have negated given the reserved potential within his arsenal [Rin'negan techs, EMS techs, Mokuton Techs]. Thirdly, being a living being would allow him to experience the Adrenaline rush or canonically worded as 'blood rushing through his veins' which biologically would enhance his battle ability.
Despite Kabuto's statement, the fact does still stand that even with Orochimaru's perfected Edo Tensei, Edo's are . The fact also still stands that Kabuto would have been controlling around 30 Edo's at once, so it's doubtful that he'd risk reviving Madara at full power.

Kabuto's statement was probably more directed at the fact that he raised Madara in a young state, with the Rin'negan and Mokuton. A young Madara had only the EMS, the old one has the EMS, Rin'negan and Mokuton, but was restricted by his old body. The one Kabuto revived had all techniques, along with a young body, and the obvious Edo advantages. So I wouldn't make too much of that statement.

It does, but Kishi does these things, he could litterally just be switching Alive Obito -> Edo Madara to Edo Obito Alive Madara.
He does know ALOT about the Edo tensi.

Because edo's powers are capped... Even if they're revived 100%, they're still capped at 100% output whereas a human body has the natural ability to go past it's limits and output 110% when it should only be able to output 100%( not factoring in gates).

Edo Madara's power is capped; Alive madara's isn't. That's the underlying.

A common misconception is that Edo's are default OP and stronger versions of a shinobi. Well, they're not. Edo's have a power cap. Just because they have a replenishing stock of chakra and a repairing body doesn't mean they're super strong; Especially when they're easily incapacitated by any jutsu that would incapacitate them while alive. This means that, if you could kill someone alive, you could easily kill them as an edo. You simply damage them and seal them while they're Incapacitated.

I think it's just that his standard attacks, and possibly Susanoo attacks are actually stronger now.
And that he can utilize techs for the living better.

3.Alive Madara has no counter for Meteor's

When madara first used the meteor, he simply let himself die because of the edo body. Madara had no reserves with sustaining fatal damages as long as he was in a safe enough position where he couldn't be sealed. As we saw when the juubi used it's storm attack, Madara's V3 susano'o was easily capable of sustaining the earth shattering damages the attacked caused. This leads us to believe that not only can madara's V3 susano'o survive a meteor shower, but his PS undoubtedly can. Because, let's be honest, Onoki, gaara, and a few other's survived. And with what? Probably a few layers of protective sand... That's no where near the defensive capabilities of a V2 susano'o, let alone PS.

Tobirama stated that "he brought us back almost at full power"

Maybe its just a hax to the jutsu

I'd think that while alive he can feel things better and more clearly. He also has the ability to use rinne tensei (if he wanted to), which is obviously something he couldn't do while he was dead. Some other rinnegan or normal techniques may only be useable if you are alive, which could be a likely reason why he says he is more powerful.

Also by what Madara said when he said "lets switch" or "transfer" I think he meant that one of us will be dead and the other alive, since rinne tensei kills the user (as far as we know). I don't think Madara is going to revive Obito useing edo tensei or rinne tensei, but someone else might.

Also saying that Obito is going to die allows Madara, or theoretically should allow him to summon the juubi shell which is decently powerful.

Really, it is too hard to say why Madara believes he will be stronger, but It seems he believes he is.

Until "living Madara" shows feats, Edo madara is still stronger.

Immortal body + Unlimited chakra >>>>>> A slight power boost (assuming he was brought back at almost full power like the Edo hokages).

Kabuto revived him even better than at his peak.

Which is true because Madara was in his youth and had the arsenal of the moment he died.

And Madara never was under control, he co-operated with Obito and expected Madara to follow the plan. He didn't need to control someone who had more knowledge and was better in combat already, not to mention who knew all about the plan anyway.

I already posted my opinion on that in my second post.

Not sure what the last paragraph means..?

Nevermind, misread it. And yes, he was under control, he simply had his will intact. Just like Nagato, the Sandaime Raikage, and all these guys did, until Kabuto decided to seize full control. If needed, Kabuto could have taken control over Madara just like he did with Nagato, I've yet to see a testament of anything else being the case. Do you have anything to support your assumptions?

If he didn't die in the fight with Hashirama, what would make him vulnerable now?

He doesn't need Edo tensei body, he can revive himself like he did after the fight with Hashirama.

With rinnegan and full power inzangi <---creation of all things

Anything can happen

How so?

Sandaime Raikage too had his will intact, however he could not control his body.

Although the statement of Madara not being controlled could be proved by 100%, I believe firmly so. This is because Madara decided when to attack and when to keep a chitchat.

Examples;

  • Madara uses Dõjutsu - Rinnegan (Tengai Shinsei) [ ]
  • Madara uses Mokuton (Mokuryû no Jutsu) [ ]
  • Madara toys with the Gokage - does not use his full power to the extreme as usual Edo Tensei [ ]
