[Discussion] As A Whole Fairy Tail Sucks

From the start, I knew there was a lot of fan service. Many people bashed this show and I didn't understand why. Personally I thought they were just hateful causal bashers.

But now that I'm caught up I can honestly say in the overall aspect of this series, Fairy Tail Sucks.

Bad character development the top being Natsu(He has zero character development not to mention his complete stupidity). Bullshit friendship power ups. Messed up plot, the destroying of good characters, Laxus, Erza etc. Don't get me wrong I enjoy this series but to a point.

I really feel like dropping this show but I want to give it one more shot to redeem it's self. This is your last chance Mashima if you screw it up I am done with you.

If you look at it like that it does suck but I think it is the most fun to watch and is a good stress reliever. So I wouldn't exactly say it sucks.

I agree with your opinion and dropped the series during the tournament. I had an overdose of friendship and it was pretty ugly.

Fairy tail is weird with all the friendship power boost and Natsu becoming inexplicably strong, it Needs better content.

PS: Akame ga Kiru isn't bad if you need something to read

Yeah, but Oracion Seis - Tenroujima was turnt doe..That was Fairy Tail's prime.

Phantom Lord - Tenroujima was when Fairy Tail didn't suck.

Pretty much everything before or after was shit.

Just coz no one dies and they have friendship power up does not mean it sucks. It's more of a fun show than it serious. Especially now in the manga this series has taken a major turn and has become more serious. I still love this show. It's awesome, fun and enjoyable. Its also one of the only series to have many strong female characters, and thats always a plus for me.

Fairy tail might be cheesy sometimes but at least i enjoy watching it .(unlike some manga i dont enjoy reading it ,i just want to know the ending)

Theres many people who also likes it , its just matter of an opinion .

You need to realise that people have different taste. Not everyone wants a depressing manga/anime where people die and get killed.

Each to their own, but I like Fairy Tail. Some new dub episodes was release today, can't wait to watch them.

I started watching it, but it felt to repetitive and boring, so I stopped early on. I always feel like maybe I dropped it too early, but the series doesn't seem to have gotten any better and I really dislike the whole "Power of friendship" thing.

Like I said, there's plenty of reasons outside of the ones you mentioned.

The tension kinda disappears when almost every fight have the "power of friendship" involved somehow.
