Because madara played him. He told him to.mak the dream world were no one has to die. If obito revived her she would.come back a child or same age she died this obito would be a grown ass man. But wouldnt they all die anyway, cuz whoever cast the infinite tysukomi or whatever is not immortal and would die of old age and everyone caught in the jutsu would die of old age too eventually. or starvation cuz they are just sitting there drooling but really in the matrix lol

Madara knew that Obito wanted to revive Rin and didn't teach him or lied to him that you couldn't revive ppl who died after a set time period

he didn't want Obito wasting Rinne Tensei on some fodder girl

If obito was successful he wouldnt die because he has half of zetsu body which can survive without food n water. Now for the victims obito wouldr obviously take care of them like the victims in the matrix. The robots were still keeping them alive n the ones that defected were drowned. But u know how that turned out.

Because you're not reading Naruto right. Obito promise to Rin to save the world so first he wanted to create a perfect world (Destroy the way of the ninja) and THEN revive Rin into the perfect world. There would be no point in just reviving Rin into the same crap.
