Thank you, I just re-read the manga and noticed it. If you look carefully those are black rods aka chakra recievers, it partially hints that Madara was controlling Hashirama!

Possible. It's Hashi afterall. When Naruto in Sage Mode+Fox Mode resisted Nagato's reciever, why couldn't Hashi?

I hope that too. Kishi puts in small details that we usually fail to notice and then makes use of those details some chapters later, which people call asspulls.

Probably it was Madara's plan all along to get the Rashomon gates on himself so that he could wait for Obito to use Rinne Tensei and then use Black Zetsu at the right time?

Hashi said that the wood dragons rendered madara's trump card useless. Since Hashi didn't know about the whole black zetsu play, that must mean that Hashi used the wood dragons to counteract Madara's attempt to control him, but no Madara is free and stronger than ever so Hashi will now be under Hashi's control.
