This thread might have already been made but i need an explanation!

Okay so it was canon that Obito can only stay in the Kamui dimension for 5 mnutes

but what heck happened when Obito and Kakashi went to Kamui dimension

Obviously they were their longer than five minutes together, and Kakashi was there for like another 15-30 mins, after obito left so did is this a plot hole or what?

obito can go to the kamui dimension for as long as he wants.

Obito has the 5 minute limit if hes in the real world while phasing out.

He can only dodge things for 5 mins.... As in he can Only ACTIVATE the power for a total of 5 mins.
AKA Hold the door open and jump back and forth.

He can step to either side entirely and close the door and stay on either side long as he wants.
It's when he opens the door he uses up his chakra.

Kakashi was in Kamui because he was SENT to Kamui. You didn't see Fu or Torune popping out of Kamui.

Obito could only use the transparency aspect of Kamui for that limited time. Using it in order to phase through attacks while attacking sort of thing. Actually going to the alternate dimension wouldnt have started the timer on that, since he stopped using chakra once he was fully there. Its like when he captured Danzo's bodyguards after the fight and trapped them in that dimension. They were in there for weeks, let alone five minutes.

No you do not have a full understanding on kamuis op prowess. The five minute rule is obito can only stay intangible for five minutes CONSTANTLY. Teleporting to kamui does not mean he is burning chakra to stay in there it's a separate dimension all together.

Obito was going to the dimension but didn't because konan set a trap on him. He had to continue to phase out and use izanagi to wait it out.

i just watched it, i mean he could have went and maybe sucked in with like 6-7 bombs with him......not like it would have killed him

Konan tricked him into using the phasing jutsu which isn't really kamui btw xD but his body is sent to kamui.
its sort of kamui though xD.

He phased and he can only phase for 5 minutes at a time.
(phasing is when u can still see his body in the real world but its inside kamui)

You see he wasn't planning on running from Konan's attacks he was just going to let them go through him ..

He cant phase and kamui at the same time , that's why he has to be physical to kamui others..
like it was proven in the Minato vs Tobi fight.

Basically Tobi was confident in his phasing that he would just use that against Konan without having to hide his whole body in Kamui.

It takes time for him to completely go in, unlike the transperancy aspect of Kamui, where it is instantaneous. So by the time the blast came to him he would have gotten hit by it because he would not have been completely in the alternate dimension, and it was proven that he is vulnerable to attacks WHILE he is transporting his whole body into the Kamui dimension. and he couldnt do that transperancy thing because with the transperancy he can only do it on certain spots of his body so he wouldnt have been able to avoid the whole blast itself.
