The first one is nice . I think I know where you got the tut from x). I'd suggest not making the arm glow because it's taking away focus from the face. Also, I feel the C4Ds are just a little bit of a shade darker than the render so that's a bit not-so-good x_x. But it's nice overall, good job. Small hint, some tags looks better if you only apply the first primary flow rather than the primary and secondary^^.
