I believe instead of killing off like Neji ,kishimoto forget about them.What worse than dead than to be forgotten completely?
Konohamaru should be around naruto skill level around this time of the manga.I am sure he look at all the hokage scroll his grandfather documented .Konohamaru keep a promise to naruto that he will be hokage and they should be rival till that day they have to fight for the position.Which mean at the end of the series when the hokage trials /event appear we should see konohamaru?

Kankuro was alway at Gaara side,why he not at his side in the war arc?Sasori puppet body should be very useful to kill all these zetsu clone because it have the abilities to summon 1000 puppet,which was known to destroy villages in the past.Sasori body also can summon the third kasukage which can use iron manipulation jutsu

I actually wonder if we are going to see Kankuro in this arc or not. I have a bad feeling that we may not see him at all before this manga ends but that would be horrible character development. Despite Kishi's deteriorating character development, I don't think it can get that bad especially considering Kankuro is hyped to become a force to be re conned with in the future.

Konohamaru will probably show up after this fight is over and everyone returns to a harmonious life.
