Chuunin exams arc
Sasauke Retrieval

Huge Gap

Juubi Revieval
I don't think war arc is the worst, the last arc (since about 610) is Juubi revieval arc. The 2nd worst arc for me is Sasuke and Sai arc; 2nd arc of part 2.

Nah, the Pain invasion arc was better in my opinion. Then it's followed by Chunin exams but Sasuke Retrieval arc comes close behind.

my favourite arc was the chuunin exams. the forest of death, different types of shinobi, orochimaru as the main antagonist.. the best stuff :), sasuke retrieval arc comes in second in my opinion

I disagree; Invasion of Pain Arc and Chūnin Exams Arc are my favorite.

The Chunin Exams is probably my fav..A LOT happened on that single arc.

In addition to the ones you mentioned, I´d also include the Land of waves arc.

It is one of the best because it show cased many of the limits of certain ninjas, like neji, kiba and the rest. I only wished kishi did something similar to truly show the growth of these characters.

Listen, for me, i have to say that the land of waves arc was amazing. It was back before all of this noble "shinobi are those who endure" bullshit. How all of these countries raising arms is in the name of peace. This was back when ninjas gathered in villages and took on missions for money. Some low rank rookies bite off more than they can chew, and its up to their elite sensei (which introduced that concept that kakashi is the most badass ninja in the series) to protect them from another high class jounin the demon of the mist. The sharingan was still crazy powerful but it had weak points, a high jonin vs high jonin battle consisted of a couple mid level suitons and some clone play. Naruto finally started to catch up to sasuke and understand that although zabuza was right "shinobi are tools", that he wanted to break the mold and be a splendid ninja. It was so cut and dry but amazing. Characters like haku were deep because so many people can relate. They want a purpose, even if it involves following someone bad. Gato was the greedy corporate figure, and we first see a glimps at the kyubi's power before it was generalized as "just one of those tailed beasts who essentially all have the same power".

As a villain, zabuza was chilling, and his english voice actor was AMAZING (although its amazingly lazy that they used the same actor for a DIFFERENT mist village ninja later (the one with the byakugan)).

People are so quick to forget this arc, but its the one that made us all fall in love with naruto. Was i the only one who was standing at the edge of my seat when i saw kakashi's dog's break up from the ground and kakashi held a mass of lightning in his hand? He was wielding kunai like a (hmmm whats the word... oh yeah, thats right) ninja!

That is why i think the land of waves arc was one of my all time favorites

I agree why OP said Sauce retrieval arc is the best.

Because most of the characters got to show their abilities in that arc.

The war arc wanked Guy, Kakashi, Bee, Naruto, Itachi and somewhat of Darui the most.

Sakura didn't get to show much, along with Kiba, Rock Lee, Shino, Neji, TenTen etc..

Hell the five kage didn't go all out against Madara. It was like 5 krillins going up against Frieza except the krillins are just showing fear instead of actually fighting. Raikage didn't even Liger Bomb Madara.

Kishimoto did that shit for plot purposes.
