genjutsu can kill...kakashi asked itachi why he didnt kill him back when itachi put him in tsukoyami and itachi said he didnt come here for that so it is possible...and there was a clan called the kurama clan that had a young child clan member whose genjutsu was so good it could manipulate reality turning what happens to u in the genjutsu world into reality... hiruzen told kurenai to watch over that child i guess cuz kurenai specialized in genjutsu(not really that good) but yea ultimately kurenai had to kill that child i think because that kid was uncontrollable

kakashi didnt break it but gen doesnt work with kage clone
. but he can cancel it too now

Kabuto's control was also good he was still unable to escape Itachi's genjutsu
