For all you who are saying that Naruto is better than Sasuke in almost every way, you need to examine a few things. This is also for those who say that Sasuke got free op powerups without training.
1. In Sasuke's case, his goal was never to be the greatest ninja like Naruto, and Naruto's other goal was to protect his friends which requires being stronger than friends. Sasuke only tried to obtain power enough for the sole purpose of fulfilling the revenge which Itachi put inside of him, he wanted power to kill itachi. If you remember, Sasuke didn't even want to have the mangekyou sharingan when fighting Itachi, just to show that he could surpass and defeat him without it but later his intentions turned into destroying the leaf for causing his brother, family, him and his clan so much pain and he knew that he needed his brother's eyes for that. For those saying that he got free power from Itachi well he never asked for it (tsukuyomi or whatever) and when the time would have come he would still be at equal or greater footing then Naruto because that is just due to plot and not because he or naruto are better than each other (this isn't real life like Lebron and Kobe).
2. Sasuke was under the influence by the curse mark when he came to Orochimaru which manipulated the mild amount of hatred he had for his brother into greater hatred, and before you say he wasn't a more enlightened ninja like naruto to be able to resist hatred, that is b.s. Naruto would have followed down the same road of darkness if it wasn't for his future experiences like meeting Jiraiya who taught him alot of how to be a better person. If he was in Sasuke's shoes (one who experienced a massacre by the hands of his own brother and told to increase his hatred to gain power) he would have done the same damn thing. So free curse mark power? He only wanted to obtain that power to be strong enough to defeat Itachi FASTER, he wasn't trying hard to be strong he knew Itachi was alive and the curse mark got a hold of him.
3. Sasuke doesn't have sage mode like naruto but if he did he would easily be able to combat Naruto's Toad Sage mode. SM increases abilities, speed, reflexes, and jutsu which would overlap with his current abilities. Snake sage mode would allow Sasuke to perceive every attack that naruto would throw, and the added Snake Sage chakra would give him a great power boost. I think the sharingan would go well with the Snake sage mode because it is very related to the senses and perception, and Snakes are just like that and there cold blooded, so I think that he could be able to hide his chakra and more with Snake sage mode. We all should know that Naruto's speed is due to plot, because his father was fast, if you think about it Jiraiya was slow as hell, and Naruto's speed was much more significant when he had Kyuubi chakra, Toads are slow, snakes are fast if you've ever seen one after their scared. Also Sasuke is only using Juugo's sage power to defeat Obito, and sasuke doesn't have SSM because he doesn't want to be like Orochimaru as Orochi stated some time during the resurrection of the Hokages.
4. Naruto's sage mode is 1 extra power that Sasuke doesn't have but personally I don't see how Naruto with just bijuu is much better than Sasuke. Susanoo is a power that is the ultimate defense and regardless of what you have to say it won't be broken that easily. This whole time naruto has been fighting with other people by his side, and it looks like he has advanced much further but the truth is he just has alot more screen time or page time. Also Sasuke's sharingan allows him to go inside Naruto's mind/soul in which he could probably sever the contact between Naruto and kurama.
Bottom line: Sasuke's goal was never to be the strongest it was to defeat Itachi and that hatred that he gave Sasuke turned him to Orochimaru thru the curse mark. He wasn't trying to use that power to catch up to Naruto, Naruto never did it on his own either, it was the fox's chakra he was using. He can match Naruto's strength, but remember he doesn't have an extra entity with twice the amount of power inside him.
