So deep that it bleeds a little? Like it's deep scratches to the point where you don't even notice them until you feel them stinging in the shower. I doubt I would scratch myself that hard in my sleep without realizing it. Especially on my back. I sleep in a hurdle position so that's impossible without waking myself up
