Did Madara ever use rinne tensei?

How did Madara know that the Rinne Tensei existed? did he read it in the tablet or did he use it himself and if he read it in the tablet, did the So6P ever use it? It would be a cool twist if he used it to revive the Uchiha Clan after Itachi and Obito slaughtered them and hid them away somewhere. Maybe that's what all those footsteps were and maybe that's his trump card.

Well the way he died was kinda vague, he died because he "unplugged himself". I think he would have more of a backup plan just in case Obito betrayed him. I think he died reviving somebody he trusted or he knew would have his back in case things got ugly,
