[Discussion] Amaterasu/kagetsuchi vs Kamui

I am posting this because some people don't have an open mind and if you don't find this agreeable then fine. But I hope you do.


Some people believe that what kakashi and Obito have are the same techniques. They are similar and connected but they are not the same. Kakashi has Kamui, since he named it that.

Obito has the original technique or a different one related to it.

What Kakashi has is the power to manipulate it, so technically it is not the same as obito's. Obito has the parent jutsu of what Kakashi has.


If you're confused I'll explain through Sasuke's Amaterasu and Kagetsuchi


In one eye he has Amaterasu and we all know the details about that, but in the other eye he has the ability to manipulate it, Kagetsuchi.

Amaterasu is the parent jutsu of Kagetsuchi. Kagetsuchi can cast the flames of amaterasu, but it can't do it exactly the same as his original amaterasu in his other eye.

Kagetsuchi can be cast instantly and most of the time needs no prep time.


I'm stating this because people on here regard what kakashi and Obito have are the same thing and so they try to mix there feats together which is wrong. If you try to mix there feats then you have to allow the mixture of amaterasu/kagetsuchi from sasuke aswell.

Kakashi has Kamui not Obito

Obito has something similar we just don't know the name.

If you understand and agree rep if not pls post info and back your thesis.

yes this is plausible since every ms jutsu shown so far has different degrees of the jutsu xd

Since Kamui is stated to grant both teleportation and intangibility, Obito has the technique.

Actually this gets right to the point, instead of all that other stuff he added. This was basically made to stop people from combining both Obito's and Kakashi's feat, saying that it's kamui for both.

I have a different theory on the subject.
In my opinion,
Obito's MS only gives one ability which is kamui(the one kakashi uses) . But when obito was given senju DNA, because of the senju DNA, the MS's power improved and thats when obito got intangibility.

So,
only ms = kamui
MS + Senju DNA = Kamui + intangibility (an improved version of kamui)

This is just my opinion.

Well, that is a possibility, but the main point was to stop people from mixing both kakashi's and obito's feats together. I'm to busy to edit but you get my point.
