Can Nagato summon Meteors ?

Not sure...... First I am not sure if that rock was a meteor, the rock lacked the fire from entering the atmosphere. Could have been In'youton.
Also, Susanoo produces a change in the users chakra and has been shown to amplify jutsu such as Sasuke's enton. It is possible that techniques related to the Uchiha doujutsu become amplified when used through Susanoo.

Yes. The meteor Jutsu is just a large scale application of the Universal Pull. Nagato has the chakra reserves, but perhaps his version would be smaller than Madara's, since the latter's chakra pool was enhanced with Hashiroids.

Susano'o is necessary to make the handseals because this isn't a summoning in the traditional space-time sense. It's simply drawing meteors from the upper atmosphere.

Think of it like Susano'o is a satellite, sending out a signal to make something happen.


If it didn't require Susano'o, Madara wouldn't have explicitly activated it - with two conjoined bodies, and directed it into doing the handseals.
It's a technique exclusive to EMS + RG users.

I'd say yes, but not on the scale of Madaras imho. They are not Nagatos eyes anywho.....the original is more often than not more proficient imho. As the The Rikudou being the most proficient imho. Some might say though...you cannot because you have shown not. Although...I believe he could but a severely weaker version than Madaras imo.

The fact that Madara had summoned Susano when summoning the meteorites may suggest that the summoning jutsu has something got to do with EMS; Nagato hasn't got EMS therefore he probably wouldn't be able to summon.

If you look closely , the rock is wet . It was confirmed in the anime when Nagato pulled it from inside the lake .

He might try to Bansho Tennin a meteor out of space but i doubt it will work.

His Paths were causing havoc throughout the village and when he finally learned about Naruto's location , he destroyed the whole village even after that he kept fighting with Sage Mode Naruto and when Kurama almost went loose he created Chibaku tensei and created it this big ( and he could have made it bigger) and still managed to revive all the people he killed in Konoha .
