obito could compete with Bm naruto with kamui, and we know obito is faster than AY,and Ay is faster than amaterasu.
Dafuq? Lol What kind of A>B>C logic is this?

Did you see the scan where Kakashi activated, prepped, and fired Kamui twice after two arrows were shot at point blank range?
It has nothing to do with speed concerning the target. It has to do with the size of said target. He can still use kamui fast on huge targets, only that his fastest kamui will only be able to warp a part of said huge target. Because of this, it requires for him to mould a necessary greater amount of chakra for bigger targets before usage if he wants to warp it completelykamui can be fast, but only when kakashi has the correct amount of chakra, in certain situations it can be slow, in kakashi's case when using it on large opponents, in that regard, amaterasu is fasterYou must be registered for see images

It's the same thing with Amaterasu. Bigger the target, bigger the chakra is required to engulf it completely. It's for this reason that small Amaterasu would do practically nothing against a huge target like Hachibi or Juubi for example. In these type of cases, the user must focus on the target more and more, puting it more chakra to accelerate the burning rate like Sasuke did while facing Hachibi(he was focusing his Amaterasu for a while on Hachibi), like it's the purpose of the enton-rasenshuriken as well, to increase the burning rate of the jutsu by much greater folds
The only advantage Amaterasu has over kamui is it's spreading capacity. Even a small amaterasu would stay on the target unless he removes the burned part

You can't use Amaterasu if you don't have chakra. Like every technique, Amaterasu requires chakra. If you don't have the chakra necessary, there is no amaterasu, just like there is no kamui, just like there is no other technique. Once again, it has nothing to do with speed. Kamui can be fast on every target, only that there are small or big kamuis. Bigger the Kamui, and more it allows to warp bigger target. Like bigger the Amaterasu, and more it allows to engulf bigger targets completely. It's how it worksAma has more advantages. As I said, once it's prepped and cast you can use it again and again with little to no prep time after. It also takes less time then Kamui on larger objects.
Kamui's prep time after each use would generally be the same as when first cast.
Amaterasu is faster.

In terms of feats however, Kamui has shown to be faster, but you can believe what you want
Stopped reading here. So for you, thisStay on topic. This is about prep time, jutsu speed and casting time. All of which amaterasu has the overall advantage in.

Just show how pointless the discussion was from the start
I enjoy going against people who think they're right because then they either admit to defeat or find respect in an argument and comes to a compromise.
What you should of showed was Amaterasu and Kamui on an even playing field instead of leaving out information. Both can be used instantaneously.

I've already stated that if the object or opponent is small then Kamui has the advantage, but if it's the other way around and the object is larger the Amaterasu does. You should have read the rest, if not the don't try to refute someones evidence.
Stop being one sided and give both sides of the argument an equal chance. Your argument is to biased.
This is about speed, and Kamui appears at speeds FTL and warps the user to another dimension at the speed of light. Your argument is invalid since Amateratsu has to move and needs just as much prep as Kamui. Kamui wins in every possible way in regards to this thread.
I'm guessing FTL means Faster than Light. Not very keen on abbreviations. But what you're describing is what happens when they are caught in the jutsu not the actual speed of the jutsu itself. Ex: prep time, jutsu speed and Casting speed.
As I said before to another commenter, stay on topic. Your argument is invalid.
Also amaterasu can be cast directly on an opponent and doesn't have to move towards them.
Like I said both need prep time. They just differ from size.
Larger an object: Amaterasu wins
Smaller an object: Kamui wins
But overall Amaterasu has the advantage in being the faster jutsu and I've already stated my evidence. If you choose to prove me wrong look at it and back yours up with evidence aswell.
*Sigh* Not even gonna botherI enjoy going against people who think they're right because then they either admit to defeat or find respect in an argument and comes to a compromise.

How is this off topic. I would rather say your post on the size of amateratsu was off topic. Kamui doesn't move towards anyone, it occurs instantly. Amateratsu barely is hypersonic. You can't compare instant to quick. Larger or smaller doesn't matter, it's off topic.
My argument is more valid than yours. Yours only speaks of prep time. both have similar prep time (Kamui is slightly faster going by scans). Jutsu speed goes to kamui. Instant>quick. Time it takes for Kamui to warp is slower than time it takes for Ama to start burning. However Kamui would still have sent the opponent to another dimension before Amateratsu starts burning.
*Sigh* Not even gonna bother
