Which is faster, Amaterasu or Kamui?

What? How can you be that stupid? I mean all of you Uchiha fans. I can say Amatserasu is faster than Kakashis Kamui. But Amasterasu can even hit Raikage, but Raikage can't even hit Obito, so... Kamui wins

If we're talking Obito's, I'd give it to Kamui. If it's Kakashi's eye, it's Amaterasu. Both Kakashi, Sasuke, and Itachi in the past have shown that the gathering of chakra takes some time, even if it's minimal amount of time, is necessary to use their MS. Kakashi in more cases, it takes him what seem like a longer amount of time to gather, but in other cases his seem instant (Susano'o, Deva Path nail, etc). More often though, Amaterasu doesn't have a long build up and always travels quickly, while Kakashi was taking a while to Kamui the Mazou head and couldn't gather chakra in time for a Juubi TBB.

Kakashi is more inconsistent with his so I give it to Amaterasu > Kamui but only in Kakashi's case. Obito's Kamui seems to work faster and take affect on others and himself faster.

obito could compete with Bm naruto with kamui,and we know obito is faster than AY,and Ay is faster than amaterasu.

I mentioned that it seems instant sometimes but other times, it takes a while (the Mazou incident, Juubi TBB). Kakashi is inconsistent with Kamui so I said Amaterasu against Kakashi's case because the Amaterasu typically has a fast process as a whole. Btw, I don't believe Kakashi used it twice, he just opened a portal for one and left it open to take in the other and then he closed it. Nonetheless though, that's probably Kakashi's best speed feat with Kamui and it's part of why I think Kamui and Amaterasu are definitely on par with each other speed wise.

And how Minato escaped the pull of Kamui.

And the fact Minato is faster than Ay, I would probably go with Kamui on this one.

Lets say this. Both amaterasu and kamui can be cast instantaneously. But on average amaterasu is faster without being powered up by an outside source.

On average after amaterasu is prepped and cast, it can be repeatedly used again and again with little to no prep time. It's time slightly changes between sizes of opponents and objects.

But Kamui on average needs to be prepped each use requiring different durations of time for size of objects or opponents. It time takes longer than amaterasu would when used on larger opponents.

So on average amaterasu is faster.
