Who would you rather have Rin or Pt 1 Sakura

Compare to Pt1 Sakura obviously Rin, but overall Sakura since Rin is fodder overall..

Kakashi gaiden was a side story not a flashback.
Either way it's your personal preference, I don't really mind what you find more interesting. For me I find emotional depth, unconditional selflessness and conceptual philosophy more interesting and likeable than anything sakura has displayed.

Agreed, plus this last one was the only one that's ever actually given us real reason to like Rin other than the fact that Obito likes her. She was more understanding and deep than Sakura was at that age. Which makes Rin more interesting than nasty nasty part 1 Sakura (a character 'written to be unlikeable' - Kishimoto himself)

Your opinion is skewed as you see Rin as Sakura's parallel and not a separate character. But to each his own I guess. I liked, and had reason to like Rin long before this chapter, but ignorance easily blinds people. For example, in the chapter the week before last, it seems many people c ok completely forgot that we had already seen these exact scenes before, the only difference was the increased dialog.

No, this is what I was talking about. They were surrounded by jounin level ninja, Kakashi ' s death was almost certain, and she wasn't about to just leave him to die alone. It would have been her last chance to tell him.
