My opinion always seems to change with obito, but this thread has really helped stabilize that somewhat
Show me 1 of the traits, apart from uchiha curse, that rocklee doesn't possess?

. The only difference between him, naruto and obito, is that unlike the former, obito has an 'uchiha curse'. Basically, That's your only excuse; That and 'madara manipulation', when madara did absolutely nothing. Nice avoiding saying 'it was because of RIn' btw.
It was pushed way too much for me.
There was barely any development in these categories:
Factors affecting his choice.
A build up in incidents that led to his choice.
Key incidents which were key points for his beliefs.
Deeper views on the Shinobi world.
It was just too much, Rin Rin Rin. Kishi did a bad job on that and that surprised me considering how he did a good job on Nagato in showing all the key incidents that led to his choices.
Just felt like a missed opportunity imo.
show me proof that Lee didn't have parents of known them.

i think kishi wants to emphasis the fact that anyone can turn to the dark side. Kishi used rin to turn obito, so i expect obito to think about rin and such but i do agree kishi went a little too much rin.

Yes, as in developing the Main motive for his spiraling Mental illness, which then lead on to 'powerful chakra sprouting in his brain' thus causing the 'Uchiha curse'. This leading into his acceptance of a solution in which his pain and suffering can be cured through the ressurection of Said dead Muse. It's so obvious that Rin is the Root cause to every single thing obito has done thus far it's borderline absurd how people try to make shit up.
If anyone else died (kakashi, minato); Obito would tell Madara to go **** himself and go back to Konoha.
Obito would not have any reason to run to a dream world because he, and I quote, "Won't Accept this[reality]".
Obito would never seek and release the 9 tails, thereby injuring 2/3(MORE THAN HALF) of the other remaining loved ones he still had.
Powerful chakra wouldn't have even sprout in his brain to the extent that He jumped from a 2 tomoe to a freaking MS upon seeing rin's death, and a no tomoe to 2 tomoe upon wanting to retrieve rin from her captures. In retrospect; Sasuke got a 1 tomoe from seeing his Friends, Family and entire clan assassinated ontop of having his brother torture him. Sasuke then gained a 1+2 tomoe during a near death experienced. Sasuke then gained a 3 tomoe during another near death experience. sasuke then sprouted a MS upon learning the truth about his dead brother. Obito amassed all of sasuke's built up suffering off of 1 chick. All of sasuke's near death experienced were nothing in comparison to 'Rin'.

It was probably the parallel with Naruto that was the problem.
Kishi probably wanted to emphasis that "look at how our 'Hero' could of been".
Which is wrong imo, because Obito is a grown man and him and Naruto, although they parallel each other, were shown to have the same type of child like ignorance.

Madara never forced obito to sit his ass in a cave, evidenced by the fact that he did leave. Nor did madara force him, or even persuade him to return.

Whereas, naruto actually tried to make friends even after Hiruzen, and jiraiya died and sasuke left the village. Naruto didn't go abandoning his village when sasuke did; unlike obito who abandoned his village because some chick he knew didn't like him got herself killed.
Everything in your OP is an Excuse or an Opinion or a convenient attempt to avoid bring up 'rin'. Anyone with eyes can see exactly what's going on in this story. It doesn't matter if kishi's trying to show what naruto would have been like, the fact still remains that Rin was, is and will always be obito's main motive. There is nothing in the manga to support otherwise.
EDIT: This is simply another failed Obito thread where OP doesn't want to or simply can't back up anything he says. Nor can he defend his thread. There's never been an obito fan who can defend the Rin argument as the basis for;
- Powerful chakra sprouting in obito's brain
- Obito losing faith in the world
- Obito thinking the world will turn everyone to trash
- Obito wanted to push a plan about a dream world where he's specifically trying to revive Rin
