So, Itachi is often praised as a brilliant shinobi, a strategical genius and an outright MACHINE after he obtained MS. Why is this? what made him the one of the ONLY Uchiha so loyal to the leaf? I believe there is a reason he is so dedicated to the leaf, and his brother.

My theory starts right here.
We all know what Kotoamasukami or KA for short.

This jutsu allows you to completely control someone, you can make them do what-ever you desire, be it kill themselves or lick your feet ( if you're into that ). Now, we know that the only 'Real' user of this jutsu was Shisui Uchiha, close friend of Itachi Uchiha. I believe Shisui used KA on Itachi in order to protect the leaf, much like what he wanted to do to Sasuke if Naruto met him.

Proof of this? other than the fact that Itachi slaughtered his whole clan, except Sasuke. Shisui and Itachi probably both felt that the Uchiha clan war tarnished, and only those who were pure would live, I believe Sasuke was the only Uchiha in the academy, yes?. He was the youngest, only 'Pure' Uchiha left ( Danzo/Obito were both fine with him being left alive, Danzo for his eyes and Obito for obvious reasons).

This image was only ever shown from Itachi mind, his memories ( easily manipulated by KA )
Notice what he's asking? that's more than just asking him to protect the village like a normal friend, also, notice the 'Scratch' Sfx? Possibly signaling that it was a genjutsu/Fake memory, is anyone could at all see through KA It'd be Itachi. By doing what he did, he protected the Village AND the Uchiha's name, doing EXACTLY what Shisui said in that message.

Itachi also acted EXACTLY the same after being placed under KA by the crow, right down to his love for Sasuke, and his loyalty to the leaf.

I doubt that this happened without Itachi knowing, or even without his permission, he and Shisui probably did it because they knew it would be the best way to protect the leaf and save the Uchiha name.

I doubt you're correct, because Itachi exhibited interest in the welfare of the village even when he was 7 years old, as Hiruzen described: he was already different than everybody else. Why would KA be required to instil notions in him that already existed?​

I know this, I think he agreed to having the KA used on him, so that he'd do everything in his power to help the village and save the Uchiha name, this way he'd never falter.

Nope, if he used Kotoamatsukami against Itachi it wouldn't have been active for a decade, but I believe it wasn't a decade since he used it when he was edo? Still what's the point to use that eye on Itachi? Whey were the best friends, and Itachi would be at danger if he couldn't use that eye, imo.

Interesting assertion, but do you recall how when Kirabi asked Itachi why he didn't simply use KA on Sasuke from the beginning, Itachi said that the acquisition of benevolence should be natural: not forced. Hence, he didn't want to forcibly execute KA on Sasuke. I hypothesize that, based on this behaviour, he would also never agree to have KA used on him: because it just wouldn't be the same; and it would not truly reflect Itachi's genuine adoration of his village.​

That's because Itachi, as you said, already had these feelings, KA Wasn't doing anything but countering the effects of the 'Curse of hatred', this explains why he was never like the other Uchiha.

Im not doubting this, he is actually more like a child version of MADARA, who acted similar. It's just by using KA on him WITH ITACHI'S PERMISSION, he countered the effects of the curse of hatred, letting him act perfectly normal and not under the same curse that turned Madara into a mad nigga.

even when the eye is shattered the effects remain on it's target?
correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't itachi state that the eye was in cool down during that time? making it inaccessible for use vs sasuke?
