Your favourite halo game?

So what's ur favourite halo game? Mine would simply be halo 2, the campaign was extremely well made and the stories plot was well done, the music fit the background, and some scene and moments were jaw dropping. Awesome game, I remember I bought the game the second day of its release, and immediately slammed it in and called all my friends and played split screen campaign, awesome times. I like how bungie made the story more expandable, by introducing the covenants back story, and the true nature and plans of the gravemind, and allowing u to play as both the arbiter who's against the humans and master chief was an awesome feature they added, the gameplay experience was vivid. For a sequel they added variable amount of upgrades to the game, making it seem like a complete different game, voice acting was great, Steve downs doing his cool shit like always, Overall I never found much faults with the game other then it was relatively short and playing with the arbiter got pretty old IMO, the game pretty much held out well in terms of story and plot, the ending making u wanna drop the controller as soon as master chief says "sir, finishing this fight" goddamn!! Awesome shit.

The multiplayer was cool, I never got much into it, after I played split screen and bought Xbox live, got into multiplayer based games after halo 2, it was really fun, I was a noob at that time, now I'm quite adept and pretty good (good enough to play in the MLG variants) ...the multiplayer had some flaws, well not flaws I'd say but the weapon switch with the sniper shortening the reload time really quickly, almost instantly, and sweep sniping made for easy sniping kills, the double YY tap (I think) giving the br no interval between the last two auto-burst automatic shots. Lel and the some shit about crouch jumping, tricked into safe landing. No fall damage, and a trick to reload ur weapons automatically after three shots, by throwing a grenade and pressing some buttons which I don't Remeber, most tricks used by the MLG players and I found them on YouTube ...well long story short, back then it was back from school and lol halo 2 ..>_>

Yesh there are, 2 is indeed a lovely game. The flood was scary, well it was fun cutting them with the energy sword lol

I think the only real reason that ODST is my favorite is because it was the game that got me into the series, and was the first Halo game I played.

Halo 4 had the best multiplayer imo...it could have been better as well, but I liked the whole ordinance system and custom classes; it made it feel diverse.

As a long time and competitive Halo player I'll give my own two cents on each game (with expection of H4, Halo wars & ODST). Here's my list:


4.) Halo Reach (Sorry if this one sounds more of a rant, I still loved this game though):
Boy Halo Reach was pretty good, it just felt that Bungie was catering towards the casual fanbase instead of having that balance and pleasing both the competitive & casual fanbase equally. For example, the game had way too many BTB maps that symmetrical competitive maps. This problem was because of the huge forge world maps. Also, the ranking system that we loved in H2/H3 was gone which was a huge letdown. I know it was Bungie's way of getting rid of the people exploiting the system and selling 50's to people. Finally, Armor lock was pretty annoying especially in close combat and bloom didn't even serve it's purpose, instead it rewarded spammers. Luckily there was a TU but it was implemented way too late. I also didn't like the fact that they removed the skulls from the campaign, I loved hunting skulls in H3 and unlocking sweet armor sets. *I'm staring at you Hayabusa* (Yeah it was over-used but it was pretty awesome and that Katana at your back? *Jizz*)


3.) Halo 1 CE:
The campaign was amazing and it really allowed the player to explore around the environment. The multiplayer was pretty good and balanced even with OP 3 shot pistol. I loved the game and it was the game that started it all.

2.) Halo 2:

Yeah this game was just pure epicness. Nothing could compete with this game's campaign. I loved playing from both perspectives and this is the ONLY Halo game that I couldn't complete on legendary (solo). Those jackels felt like they had aimbots T__T. I loved all the glitches that this game had, especially super jumping lol. There was fun easter eggs like the scarb gun which is f*cking godly. Amazing game, I never really had the chance to play MP that much but I heard it was pretty fun.

1.) Halo 3

Despite H3's bad campaign, it had the best MP (I'm just basing this off experience). I could go on about the game's MP but I will just list my highlights of the game:
-Betraying people (Yeah I loved trolling the f*ck out of casual players)
-Ranked Playlists (Lone Wolves and MLG playlists were my fav.)
-Grift-ball (It was amazing and I know Reach brought it back but it wasn't as good)
-Shotty Snipers (" ")
-THE BR
-Amazing competitive maps like the pit, Guardian, Construct, MLG foundry map variants & Heretic
-Even the BTB maps were amazing like Sandtrap, Valhalla, Last Resort, High Ground, etc.
-This game brought so many innovations like theatre, forge, armor customization, etc...
-Recon armor was rare as f*ck and everyone was begging Bungie for it XD
-KILLIONARIE
- I know H3 itself never brought this but people made amazing series like Arby n' The Cheif.
