Danzou has no jutsu capable of killing Itachi so if it turned into an all out fight Danzou would be forced to keep Izanagi activated which would end up killing him due to the chakra consumption. Danzo only activates Izanagi before he is about to attack someone. However if he does not activate Izanagi he can be killed.
Considering Itachi faint abilities. Simply attacking to make Danzo activate IZanagi then alluding him for 60 seconds (Using crow clones) would be essential and thus would cause danzo to waste an eye.
Furthermore, Danzo will be forced to a point where he must decide to risk wasteing an eye or not using an eye at all which tips the odds in Itachi favor tremendously.
You say ITachi will get outlasted but in all honesty.. Danzo is so careful that Itachi could use minimal abilties and energy forcing danzo to use up all his Izanagi

Shisui shunshin hype in the japanese translation is 瞬身のシスイ, Shunshin no Shisui. Nothing to do with mirage here. Think that was from the other translation where those guys referred to him as shisui of the mirage or some shit like that.

Sasuke was at point blank range then Danzou used ahisui eye to use the mirage tech (body flicker in conjunction id assume.). Whether sasuke was injured or not means nothing. Toni then notes Danzou was using "shisui spl ability" (viz translation). And a eye giving users spl abilities isn't farfetched in a manga where eyes shoot fire. Moot point.

Not really. I just didn't take into consideration that Itachi would be capable of just evading all of his attacks and taking him down with some kunai combos, etc. and not just rely on the MS techniques.
