[Theory] Komamura's Helmet Theory

After the latest chapter, the obvious that occurred to me was seeing how Komamura arrived to fight in the war, it meant he finished training with his great grandfather.

What is he hiding under that helmet?

​

Well we all know the reason why he wore a helmet in the first place

He wanted to hide his face from public because he was self conscious about his look.

But even after everyone seeing what he really looks like, he chose to again hide his face. What could be the reason?

Well, this may be out of the box, but remember what Komamura asked of his grandfather?

He wanted to obtain the family secrets, but at a huge price no doubt. So maybe Komamura did defeat his grandfather, and did obtain the family secrets, but I'm thinking the grandfather did something else to Komamura

"You were ashamed of your appearance and wrapped yourself in a hood and armour and pretended to be human"
Maybe Komamura's grandfather turned him into a human shinigami and said to him along the lines of "If you want to fight with humans, then you'll leave this place as a human". That's something I'd imagine he say, and he's just hiding his face for that built up for when we'll get a surprise reveal.

Interesting indeed. However, I believe what happened is that after he asked his great-granddad to teach him the "family secret", he was taken to the Dangai where his great-granddad taught him the ultimate technique - the Final Tengen Kokujo Myo - where he becomes the Tengen Kokuju Myo himself. And we all know the Tengen Kokuju Myo's face is scary, so in order for him not to scare his subordinates, he decided to hide his face and also because when his face is shown, his Reiatsu is subconsciously leaking. So his great-granddad gave him that helmet, to ensure he doesn't subconsciously destroy people who can't handle his Reiatsu seeing as he is now a transcendent being.

Nice theory, but him turning into a human? His Great Grandfather was more beast like then he was, I could see it as a possibility, but I think they're a special clan. I'm starting to believe SS was a place of speical creatures, and special clans and then events started to unfold 2000 or 1000 years ago when the Shinigami started to take over, and then the Quncies started to revolt against them? It's not explained where the Humans came from, and we've been on the earth for thousands of years. I think he's turned more wolf like, he reminds me of a fox type creature, with his colors and stuff.
