At one point Hashirama had all the tailed beasts held up in a cage made of Mokuton under his control, Why didn't he just seal them inside himself?? Why waste all the time and energy capturing the beasts to just give em away to other villages?
If he'd sealed tailed beasts, he would've been the one and true omnipotent of NV.
I could imagine him having the body of the tree, even allowing him to unlock something beyond Rinnegan itself and probably even surpassing the SO6P in powa.

Same mistake was later on made, by, Minato. Why seal the 9 tails inside a newborn and turn his life into hell, He should've just sealed the 9 tails inside himself and become the god of NV. Minato was already considered a "flee on sight Shinobi." With the power of 9 tails he would've been an unstopable beast.

It just doesn't make any sense, all these hokages letting power slip off their hands for no reason and allowing the Uchihas to capture that power and blast the leaf every single time...

This whole war would've been avoided, if either of them had executed their duties properly..

I don't think it would exactly work like that. If it did, wouldn't Obito have been able to just have the Akatsuki capture all of the bijuu and then seal them into himself instead of using the Gedo Mazou to suck the bijuu out and then reincarnate the Juubi?

I think having 9 separate entities inside of him would have just killed him, the Juubi's just 1 powerful entity.

Anyway, even if he did do that, once he died the beasts would just be reborn back into the world and that would do nothing for anyone.

Selling the bijuus was the original plan. On top of that you have to understand , Hashirama if disagreed with Tobirama could've put him down and gave them out for free.

Minato could hardly seal it within himself, and if he did, then Obito would have raped everyone by now.
