SAO has only one season and it was plain horrible. There's been no announcements for season either, that's probably because the authors want the fans to read the novel instead, so they could profit more

for me sword art online was only 14 episodes long and those 14 episodes were good(it would be better if the cabin episodes were removed)

I have to admit if it was just those 14 episodes and with the cabin episodes removed i would give the series a 8.9/10. lol

i think i was just overly excited cuz i really like SAO and i think if it were to be a new season it would be only the second anyways point is its probably just a rumor .-.
