Okie dokie sensei x)
lightning release or raiton, is one of the five basic elemental nature chakra transformation, which is generated by vibrating chakra at high frequencies, which allow for piercing and fast movement, which paralyses the target struck and vulrnable to finishing blows, while uncommon, lightning release can aslo be infused onto weapons like swords etc to increase their overall potency and cutting ability through chakra vibrations with added effect of inducing numbness. Lightning release is common throughout kumokagure. When the technique is released through the bodies, not requiring physical contact, basically it does not move as fast as real lightning, due to the control the user exerts over it, it's practically slower, which can give the opponent the time to react. It's strong against earth, simply! Because it can travel through the earth and break it apart, but weak against wind cause it being a natural insulator. It also has a unique relation with water due to it being a conductor of electricity, meaning a water based technique can empower raiton techniques and vice versa.

Lightning release is know mostly for it's piercing abilities and it's fast speed. As seen in the manga, lightning is a really versatile element because you can use it to shock, paralyze or pierce through your opponent. Another thing that I find interesting about the element is that it can be used as an armor which I believe it's a technique we will learn at a later time. The armor should help you against free form taijutsu and small tools since if the opponent makes contact with you they should get shocked. Like wind, one could channel lightning chakra into weapons. We've seen sasuke do this a lot in the manga and the lightning adds to the sword's cutting power. As far as relationships with other elements lightning can be used in combination with fire and water. Water adds to the lightning power and speed for example: lets say there battlefield is covered in water, one could release a current of electricity on the water and towards their opponent since water conducts electricity adding to it's speed and power. One has to be careful using this method though because if the user is making contact with the water they also would get shocked so it's better used when the water itself is in front of the user.
I also believe that lightning can be used with fire because the lightning should not be visible when use with a fire jutsu. Lets say I release a stream of fire towards my opponent along with a current of electricity, the opponent should get burned and shocked causing a lot more damage. Earth techniques are weak against lightning for the simple fact that lightning cuts right through it. Example if there's two large boulders I can release a current of electricity towards it and once they make contact the lightning would travel trough it breaking into pieces. Also something I might enjoy doing is using a lightning armor to attack my opponent with taijutsu as it would cause more damage. I would also be able to break C-rank earth techniques with taijutsu since my body would be covered by electricity. Wind is strong against lightning because it's a natural insulator.

Combinations you could make with this jutsu: Nothing special really comes to mind, this technique is really basic but if it's raining the technique should cause more damage as my opponent would be soaked. If it's not raining I can make it rain with a C-rank water jutsu that creates it.
Ways to Counter: I could release a stream of wind towards the lightning bolts that easily cancels them. I can also protect my body with a stream of wind, the B-rank peacock wind jutsu comes to mind.

Lets say your opponent creates an earth wall you could use this technique to break it as well as lowered rank wood techniques. If I remember right Sasuke used a current of electricity to defend himself against Tenzo's wood technique.

Good, but remember two jutsu at the same time won't work in most cases. Not unless you have an ally or clone, so you would have to make the water then channel raiton through it. Also, next time can you post the jutsu please? xD

Water is a natural conductor of electricity yeah, but still it has been shown multiple times that people can use raiton in the rain with no harmful affects. When Kakashi killed rain, it was pouring and he used S ranked lightning. It didn't kill him. He didn't even give any indication of a mild shock. Besides, even if hypothetically it would shock you; You would be shocking yourself as well xD

Very simple jutsu, but it's channeled through the ground. Channel raiton chakra into your hand, and then slam your hand into the ground releasing lightning through the hand into the ground so that it travels through the ground and hits a tree. The tree should be uprooted. Try it out, in battles it's important to say which hand you use, so be descriptive and say whether it's your right or left hand. The more detail, the better.
Again, perform the the technique and use the template to analyze the jutsu.

Manipulating the boosts towards the tree set up by my Senpai, and soon as the bolts strike the tree, the tree gets heavily damaged with multiple cracks, On various positions.

Well I could use a water tech jutsus to soak the enemy with water, which in conjunction with lightning would have a heavier and more lethel impact when it strikes the enemy.
Ways to Counter
I could use the ground shaking palm, and cause the earth infront of me crumble and rendering the jutsu impossible to travel freely underground ..
Uses of this technique (Battle orientated and non-battle orientated)
The tenchique can overall be deemed sufficient against earth release techs to break small shield walls made form earth, if an my oppnent creates an earth shield, i can simply use the jutsu to uproot the walls/boulder causing it to crumble and leaving my oppenent vulnrable to attacks, naturally the element is superior to earth. And i can also destroy boulders on which my enemy stands, to make him loose his footing. Giving me a more/less of an advantage given the situation.
Rate the technique out of ten
The tecnhique can be quite useful in certain situations. I'd rank it 6/10.

how to perform the jutsu
I gather a great amount of chakra within my stomach, and make it travel across my arms towards my hand, as I hold my left hand in mid air, I use nature manipulation to convert the chakra into lightning and striking the ground with force, causing the raiton chakra to travel underground until hitting my specific target (tree) and soon as the jutsu strikes towards the tree my sensei instructed me to perform the jutsu on. Gets uprooted. Heavily damaged/ cracked, And falls.

Since the technique can only be used in short range after releasing the lightning towards my opponent's feet I can run towards him so that the moment the lightning shocks I can strike with free form or use a taijutsu technique.

Earth Turning Palm is C rank if I remember correctly. So, I'm pretty sure that the lightning would just break through it. But then again, I saw a picture of it and the scale of that jutsu is large for a C rank. So it might be a valid counter, it would really depend. It might be safer however to simply avoid the lightning. What do you guys think?

Pretty vague jutsu to be honest >_>
Concentrate raiton chakra, and condense it into a shield around your body to protect you from harm. Then run up to the opponent and punch him, and as you do so concentrate the raiton chakra into the point of impact. That should give your opponent a shock (ha get it? xD)
*I start off by gathering a large amount of lightning chakra and once I feel it flowing through out my body I release it in the form of lightning shield that surrounds my entire body. I then dash towards a clone that is standing mid range from me and as am about to reach short range I move my right arm backwards and then forward with force as I concentrate the lightning chakra in my right palm, striking the clone in the chest as well as shocking it*
Combinations you could make with this jutsu: Taijutsu which is obvious. The user has to be careful though as if you get hit by a water jutsu the mini lightning armor would backfire but if the fight is taking place in short range than this technique can be pretty useful as you would strike your opponent with taijutsu but also shock them causing even more damage.
Ways to Counter: There's many ways to counter this technique since most fights are in mid range and the opponent would have to get within short range to make the technique useful. So I should be able to have enough time to prepare for this. As my opponent starts running towards me I would do the same and run towards him and release a strong stream of wind that would cancel the lightning that covers my opponent and also sends him flying backwards. I can use this as an advantage because as that happens I can prepare another quick technique to kill my opponent. I can also use the world shaking technique to slow down my opponent or better said cause him to lose his balance and falling into the ground. I could also use water technique, a water bullet comes to mind that should make my opponent's mini lightning armor to backfire.

Yeah I can agree, but mainly yes it's C rank, I was assuming the palm technique can break the ground apart, altering the flow of lightning in the ground and making it diffuclity to move freely. Since the ground would break apart >_>

To perform this jutsu
as my Senpai instructs me, I immediately follow his instructions, I begin gathering a great deal of raiton chakra, and once it begins to flow out of my body I condense the raiton chakra, creating a lightning shield which surounds my whole body. And then I instantly dash towards the clone infront of me, latching out my arm and concentrating rations chakra upon my palm, and striking the clone with a vivid amount of force causing the clone a variable amount of shock (Lel)
Combinations you could make with this jutsu
The tech can be deemed sufficient if combined with taijustu, since I can increase the lethality of my physical strikes using them in conjunction with raiton chakra, the technique can be useful at mid ranges. And close quarters when facing with your enemy in physical combat. Up close and personal.
Ways to Counter
Well a variety of ways come to mind that can efficiently counter this tech, first of all, the opponent would have to be mid-close range to attack the enemy with the tech, I can overcome this by using long range techs, mainly I can use a wind based tech to blow of the raiton shield, and backfire the opponent. And can finish him off between the interval with a high ranking tech or water sword impaling the enemy after his/her shield has been refuted. Moreover I can also use a water base tech on the lightning shield, causing it backfire and possibly electrocuting the enemy itself. And palm shaking tech to make my opponent lose his footing giving me an advantage on the situation at hand. Giving me preparation time to perform jutsu while my enemy is pre occupied ..

The technique overall is useful, depending on the situation. I can strike the ground breaking any boulders my opponent creates, and making it somewhat useful against earth release users of C rank, depending, if my enemy creates an earth wall shield, I can strike it causing it to break, and leaving my opponent in a vulnerable state. And if the opponent fire shots of mud and earth related techs, I can overcome them with the raiton shield. Practically the element is superior to earth.

Well the technique suite my kind of needs, I prefer close ranged techs, which can overall be combined with taijustu, so I'm giving it a 8 out of 10.

I can strike the ground breaking any boulders my opponent creates, and making it somewhat useful against earth release users of C rank, depending, if my enemy creates an earth wall shield, I can strike it causing it to break, and leaving my opponent in a vulnerable state. And if the opponent fire shots of mud and earth related techs, I can overcome them with the raiton shield. Practically the element is superior to earth.

Well the technique suite my kind of needs, I prefer close ranged techs, which can overall be combined with taijustu, so I'm giving it a 8 out of 10.

Well to be completely honest with you, I'm not sure. I was genuinely curious as to your opinion on the matter. It would really depend on your perspective. The lightning technique is vague, and there are no actual pictures of it. Either way they would cancel out, because the earth is C rank. Just be careful when using earth against lightning. Nice detail from both of you. I'm going to just briefly explain the next jutsu as it's almost the same exact thing as the last jutsu. It would be almost insulting to make you guys do it xD. Instead of simply shocking the target, this one blows them back causing them to stumble and fall.

Again, short and sweet description. Concentrate raiton, and fire off a wave of lightning bolts at this thicket of trees. It doesen't say where you fire the lightning from, so I would say pick your dominant hand, or even use your mouth to fire off the lightning.
* I start off by gathering some lightning chakra in my dominant hand which is my right. I then place my right hand in front of me and I release a wave of lightning bolts at some random trees and as the lightning makes contact with each one it cuts right through them*
Combinations you could make with this jutsu: I can use this technique after using a fire jutsu. One that blocks my opponent's vision as the lightning travels faster and should reach the fire, hide in it before my opponent notices.
Ways to Counter: By using a wind jutsu, pecock whirlwind comes to mind. I can also use the D-rank earth release technique to create a pillart beneath me boosting me up and avoiding the wave of lightning bolts.
Uses of this technique (Battle orientated and non-battle orientated): Like I said in the combinations part I can use it with a fire technique. I can probably take control of each wave of lightning and strike my opponent from different angles, this should make it more difficult for him to defend himself against this technique. Of course if one of the lightning bolts miss the damage wouldn't be of a D-rank technique, I suppose it would drop to an E-rank technique.
