Yeah I don't buy that. I mean it's a plant right? Stealing it's fruit is like stealing it's kids. Are children a parent's strongest weapon? Well I guess they are sometimes, haha.
Hmm... I really can't get your point.
Actually I think other way around, but opinions may depend on point of view, you know..
Really? Can you explain your perspective please?
Hmm, interesting thought. I agree with the fact that the fruit itself was Juubi's strongest weapon, so to speak. Otherwise, the Juubi wouldn't get so mad at Kaguya for stealing it. Not to mention that thanks to that fruit, she was able to stop the wars and so.
I quite 'feel' that the panel don't explain the ability to use chakra as the main feature (it mentions this for Kaguya), but the ability to wield it and from there to be born with it (otherwise it would not mention Hagoromo was born with it inside his body. Why was this mentioned in this way? It's almost obvious he was the first human 'born with chakra', ergo, humans couldn't wield chakra before that, so as a little conclusion we can say the fruit gave chakra to Kaguya, and not only capacity to use it. The key to know this relies in the phrase "And Kaguya's son was born with chakra already in his body".
ofcourse you would.. /barf
OT: verry controversial

but don't you think that the juubi merely needed to change form in order to be capable of moving around? the juubi gathers nature energy if he goes in his next stages, and we know the ratio's for that on shinobi.. secondly he did not regain the fruit's power yet he is still capable of turning into a tree..
SIDENOTE: what do you think about this: the bijuu naruto is trying to extract are being extracted the same way so6p extracted the juubi from it's body using the so6p's tools (that would incline it was capable of speach and reasoning wich i strongly believe is true..)
if naruto just shreds the chaka off of the body, then he would only take the chakra.. like the death god path or the uzumaki shinigami.
hence there was a body left after the sealing (the gedo mazo) and there is no body when bijuu are sealed.
inb4 sage tools naruto
That's a valid way to see it, but I'm trying to look it with simplicity. There is a frame where she eats the fruit and the god is a tree, then she stops the war with chakra, then it shows Hagoromo radiant in chakra, and then a Juubi in his first stage. The Juubi lost something when the fruit was stolen, and the part "And Kaguya's son was born with chakra already in his body" really tells that this lost thing was chakra in huge proportions (at least that's what I interpret). I highly doubt the fruit giving only capacity to use chakra, since if it were like this, then the Ootsutsuki Clan would have to have chakra from the start but not the knowledge nor capacity to use it, and that sounds more farfetched than to say simply the fruit gave chakra to Kaguya. Of course, maybe the translation is not good or my interpretation is bad, and fruit only gave the capacity.
Well those panels don't reveal anything other than the implication that the fruit was responsible for the rinnegan, and Madara already has that, so...don't really understand where you're going with this?
Your analogy is wrong and right at the same time.
If it wouldn't have been its strongest weapon, why get mad at her? You forget this is the fruit that gave birth to generation of people being able to use chakra.
My point is that something doesn't have to have destructive power to be important :/
"And Kaguya's son was born with chakra already in his body" Why would Kishimoto tell that? I think that's not an ornament... that phrase implies the effects of the fruit. It seems it gave them chakra in fact, so I think just like that. It's not necessarily destructive power, but raw power. Power to give life or to take it.
It's a nice theory and all, but really, there's no way the SA is being defeated.
The fruit may be a big power up, but they'll work through it in the end.
The sages mother ate the fruit, yet it was the sage that stopped the Juubi. If the fruit was that powerful, the mother should've just stopped it herself
You're talking from the perspective of plot, and that's a valid reasoning. But plot doesn't work as argument, you see... so at least try to trace a path where Shinobi Alliance and even Ten Tails Jinchuuriki Obito could defeat a Madara whose powers matches with Rikudou Sennin itself. I would be very grateful.
He would be too OP and PNJ or TNJ would be only the viable option.
Maybe there can be more options.
Not much. The fruit makes a person capable of using chakra. That is all, it seems. However, it is only natural to assume, that the first person to have eaten the fruit, could use all types of natures. Heck there might even be more natures in between, which could be compiled from it. We know this has to be related to ones DNA, and thus it makes sense, that it has been further divided, so people only has a natural affinity for a single type. But it must have started with all at one place.
So possibly Madara - if he eats the fruit - could become capable of using any ninjutsu, that he has witnessed through his life, because he would recieve the bias to do so. The sharingan can remember/copy the hand signs and chakra molding. If that happens, potentially, Madara could combine all 5 types of jutsu, which may be the "holy power" mentioned in the panel. Now this is just another theory, lol, but it might be his so called "trumph card" all along. Madara becoming the SO6P in the same way as Obito would just be boring, besides it wouldn't fit his character at all.
Fair enough. But your last phrase doesn't convince me at all, because I have the weird hunch Madara's objective is far distinct from Obito's objective.
Even Rinnegan doesn't fit Naruto's character, but if he collects all Bijuus, then... lol.
