Obviously not, so your point is moot and my point still stands.
There have been at least six instances where somebody has countered Amaterasu.
1. Jiraiya - Even though Itachi only used Amaterasu as an escape method, Jiraiya was able to use a scroll to seal away the flame.
2. Bee - Even though he was hit by Amaterasu, Bee was able to walk away from his fight with Sasuke relatively unscathed. He simply substituted part of his Tailed Beast form for his body, and was strolling through the woods, rapping within days. Sasuke's attack proved formidable, but Bee was able to counter it pretty easily.
3. Ay - He lost his arm in the process, but amputation apparently is an effective counter to Amaterasu.
4. Gaara - His sand was able to block Amaterasu. Since his sand isn't a solid physical structure, it seems to be a fairly potent counter to Amaterasu.
5. Nagato - When hit by Itachi's Amaterasu, Nagato was able to use his Almighty push to repel the flames. He was injured pretty badly, but it still counts as a counter to Amaterasu. Furthermore, since Amaterasu is considered a ninjutsu, Nagato should have been able to absorb it as well.
6. The Juubi - When hit by Sasuke's Amaterasu, the Juubi simply amputated the burning part of its body.
It seems like a pretty drastic measure, but amputation seems to be the most effective, and commonly used, counter to Amaterasu. There are also a number of characters that should theoretically be able to counter Amaterasu.
1. Naruto - His Tailed Beast and Chakra Cloak forms should be able to counter Amaterasu. Since they are not physical constructs, they can't actually be burnt. It should act similarly to Gaara's sand or Nagato's Almighty Push.
2. Kakuzu - His body is essentially just a bag made of skin holding his different hearts. If he was hit by Amaterasu, he could just shed his body and have his hearts run away.
3. Sasori - Much like Kakuzu, Sasori's outer body was just a shell for his puppet body. This is further complicated by the fact that his puppet body was just a carrier for his heart. If his puppet was hit by Amaterasu, he could just move his heart to another puppet. The only way that Amaterasu could actually harm Sasori is if it hit his heart directly.

Too weak of an attack. Kakashi's Kamui, now that's a real attack. Most of the ways Amateratsu can be countered wouldn't even work with Kamui.

Still dosen't change the fact that he made a contact with the jutsu & can do the same even without Obito as long as he had a seal at some other place....
