Does anyone else think Kishi is reversing Naruto and Sasuke's roles from the beginning of the series?

At the start of the series, Naruto was an outcast, everybody hated and nobody wanted anything to do with him. Sasuke on the other hand was the genius and brightest star for the next generation.

Well now the situation is reversed, Naruto is the savior of the world while Sasuke is a criminal who the Five Kage want dead.

So here is what I am thinking, Sasuke will be Pardoned but not Forgiven, Sasuke's crimes will be dropped but nobody will trust him, everyone will hate him and he will be watched constantly. The Raikage will agree to it but say that he never wants to see Sasuke's face again, the elder will resign in protest, and everybody is groaning about it, etc. While Naruto is beloved and trusted by the entire world.

This is similar to the situation with Hashirama and Madara, Hashi intended for Madara to be Hokage, but nobody trusted Madara, even the Uchiha voted for Hashirama. Hashirama tried to convince Madara to stay and be his right hand, so that everyone would come to trust him and he could be the next Hokage.

However as we know, Madara ran away and began his Eye of the Moon Plan.

I think Naruto and Sasuke will be in a similar situation, Naruto plans to be the next Hokage, but he will convince Sasuke who is growing bitter and angry over nobody trusting him, to be his right hand and in time, people will start to forgive him.

Sasuke will initially refuse, furious that nobody will accept him so he and Orochimaru plan to force his ideals down on everyone by destroying the Bijuu and killing Naruto, then they will take over the village and then attack the other villages, and this leads to the Naruto vs Sasuke fight however in the end Sasuke will make the right choice and agree to trust Naruto, unlike Madara who refused to trust Hashirama.

This is how I think it will go, what do you think?

Sasuke always rejected friends. Haha he even told them he doesn't care what they think. So he let's us know he won't do any of that in your theory

Nope.
Sasuke never cared what people thought of him, and he still doesn't.

He wasn't looking for the shine like Naruto was, he wasn't looking for friends.

Yeah, lets see how long that lasts, when he returns to the village and nobody will listen to him. He will have a hard time convincing people to follow his ideals without any support.

Yes they will, all Kishi have to do is do that thin Naruto did with Ino (my theory) and show everyone what happened with his sharingan.
Show everything from the Uchiha Massacre and everything. They will.

He's not Naruto. He doesn't clamor for attention and friends.
This isn't fun time. There are serious issues to be discussed and if Konoha want to continue their corrupt ways, then they should ignore Sasuke and prepare for another war down the line.

OR, he can pull a Naruto and make a sob story of all the stuff he went through when he left the village. And we all know how soft people in this Manga are.

Oh really, then do tell, why would anybody listen to a word he says hmmm. He wants to kill them all and attacks them but they should listen to him just because he says he can fix the problems, why should they believe him or listen to him.

Why should they believe him, he can say that he will end the system but that doesn't prove anything.

Just because he has a tragic backstory doesn't mean he magically will have the power to change the world, you need people to listen to you to change things, and why should people listen to someone who once wanted to kill them.

Besides people don't respect Naruto because of his past, they respect him because he keeps saving them despite the fact they treated him like dirt.

Many dangerous criminals have bad backstories, that doesn't change that they are hated and despised.

Besides the village is far from corrupt, flawed but not corrupt. Everything that was done, was done to save lives, and the village system allows kids to reach adulthood. Sasuke is just bound by the past, the world is changing, people are starting to listen to each other.

The only people that ever mattered to Sasuke were team 7. Sasuke already admitted that he knew that the other shinobi wouldn't be able to let bygones be bygones, but he still decided to to ally himself with Konoha. Even though he may be hated he decided to endure. Sasuke will continue to preserver.

Well, that will be it at first and that will be what he will do at the end.

But when he first goes back to the village, I think it will get to him because he wants to change the village and the system, but Naruto will be the only person who will listen to him.

I think that after the fight he will find peace with that he has Team 7's trust and the manga will end with him happy with that.

I think this will be how it ends. However, I disagree with some things.

Sasuke won't get angry that he's not acknowledged because see sig. Sasuke never cares what people think about him.

Sasuke doesn't seem to have the plan to kill all tailed beasts anymore. Originally, he refused to have Naruto pull them out. Now, he was encouraged Naruto to pull them out. If he really wanted to kill them all, why did he not protest Naruto (someone who doesn't want them to die) have all of their chakra. This makes Naruto ludicrously powerful. So, Sasuke just showed no objections to Naruto getting more power, though Naruto opposes this plan. I see this as more evidence Sasuke's goal has changed.

as Naruto is reaching its climax, I don't see it going long enough for there to be a coup and another war. Plus, Sasuke and Orochimaru wouldn't have the resources to pull that off.

I personally see Naruto vs. Sasuke starting soon after Madara is defeated. Sasuke says he wants to be Hokage and tells Naruto want he plans to do. Since this would be yin (or Danzo-like), Naruto would reject it. He would also want to prevent deaths that any attempt by Sasuke to get power (this would be doomed for the start but Sasuke would plan it). Thus, Naruto demands to fight Sasuke before his plan is set into motion. Naruto wins and tnjs. Thus, Sasuke doesn't have more crimes to be forgiven.
