Ted Bundy helped people but does that change that he was a serial killer.

NO, Sasuke is extremely stoic character. He tells people to not bother trying to understand him.

You're point about Sasuke crimes being unforgivable is invalid based on the past actions of the Leaf. You're putting into context of the real world. Naruto is not in the real world. It is in a constructed world.

After Sasuke betrayed his village, joined a missing-nin and repeatedly tried to kill Leaf-nin (especially Naruto). Tsunade was willing to forgive him. After he killed Orochimaru, Diedara, and Itachi, some random Leaf-nin were willing to not only forgive but also to reward him. Now, Sasuke has tried to kill ninjas repeatedly again and joined another missing-nin. Then he killed White Zetsu, helped defeat Kabuto which saved the Alliance, brought back Hokage which repeatedly saved the Alliance, and defeated Obito. You expect them to forget about him saving 10,000s of lives repeatedly (directly and indirectly) because Sasuke attacked the Alliance and killed some samurai. If the pattern holds, they would be willing to forgive him.

Mifune; doesn't seem to care at all. though of all the leaders, he has the most reason to hate Sasuke
Raikage: was last seen randomly doubting his beliefs which previously prevented him from forgiving Sasuke. So, he's a character who disagrees with the protagonist and is doubting himself. tnj is inevitable
Mei and Ohonki: don't care about Sasuke, they could go either way. Ohonki mentioned whoever stopped ET was a hero.
Gaara and Tsunade: will probably try to save Sasuke

even in our world (a world not nearly as ludicrously idealistic as Naruto's), criminals are awarded full pardons for actions they have committed that benefited the government. I forget his name but I remember watching a documentary about a flipping Mafia boss who used his resources to aid the Allies in the Invasion of Sicily in WW2 (while horribly using men as slaves in mines), he got a full pardon.

conclusion: Sasuke has saved many lives at this point and has been invaluable to the war effort. That should count for something. If he doesn't get a full pardon, he should get something.

Sasuke, like it or not, is a killer.
Im sure that the killed samurai's families wont feel any better because someone from the akatsuki is dead.
The world is leaded (or should be) by rules: if you kill, you have to pay for your crime. Killing someone else doesnt take their blood off his hands.

3. Orochimaru Summoned Hokages due Sasuke's decision, one that could save Konoha, OR DESTROY IT. So this point is kind of invalid, the effects could be the inverse depending on former Hokage's answer. The ones who truly saved the alliance here were not Sasuke, it was Hashirama Senju's TnJ.

5. The one who did this was Itachi's Izanami and Itachi's cleverness to predict Kabuto's movements. Sasuke was almost captured in this battle due Kabuto's Sage Genjutsu abilities.

Discarding these reasons, I still think it would be stupid if they don't forgive Sasuke, because the other reasons you gave are valid.

I think it be stupid if they forgive Sasuke. You use the parallel of Garaa, but Gaara was a internal problem of the sand village, and it wasn't really his fault. As the tail beast was influencing most of Gaara attack on any innocent.

I would have forgivn Sasuke myself, if he had continued his reign of not killing anybody but Itachi, and maybe even Danzo. However when he slaughtered the Samuari, at the summit, and when he killed Karin (who would have died, if Sakura hadn't saved her), he lost all be respect.

When I look at an overview of the Naruto manga, and the talk of the cycle of hatred that exist in the ninja world.
I see two people that are at the for front of this.

For one, Naruto who has been spoken as the one to end this cycle of hatred. And his choice would change the world forever. I think this choice happened when he decided not to kill Pain. After all Pain had done, killed many villagers, killed Kakashi and Jiraya. Naruto still forgave him. Thus ending the cycle of hatred on Naruto's part.

The other for front, is Sasuke, but also in conjection is Madara. Which I feel Sasuke at some point, will take over where Madara has failed, or when he does fail. Sasuke choice to continue the cycle of hatred was with his fight with Danzo. Sasuke choose not to forgive, even though I can't blame him for not forgiving. He still continued the cycle of hatred. Sasuke is on a vendetta to kill the elders, but what about the elders families, or even Danzo's decedant's ,if he has any. Then they will want to take up revenge against Sasuke, as will the Samuari's families, so back and forth they cycle of hatred exist with in Sasuke.

For me, Sasuke future is either exile, or death. I feel Kishi will create that moment where Sasuke and Naruto both die, or Sasuke chooses death so he can be with Itachi and everyone else. And Naruto will be saved somehow, probably from Sakura.

But thats just my opinion.
