Out of all this people naruto may not have the worst childhood or tragic story but he was the only one that didn't give in to his past or tragedy, he was the only one that deal with it and even help most people on that poll to deal with their past
Sasuke. For a seven year old to walk in on a scene of human shambles and those of his own kith and kin, including his parents, and that too at the hands of his loathsome brother; I cannot imagine any greater pain. Itachi deserved his fate a million times over. Never felt a shred of sympathy for him.
All his philosophy is laughable, just like his lapdog existence. Fitting end for a failure who chose to end his family that loved him dearly and leave a torturous mess for a seven year old to clean up.

It pretty much impossible to compare one person's pain to another, considering the different situations and feelings. But if I had to choose, it would be Sasuke. Simply because of how little he was when he experienced that much.
Personally, I don't understand these kinds of posts. Nothing against the OP. But these kinds of topic causes flaming most of the time. It be in the top list for most controversial threads if you ask me. :|Yeah, agreed. Character's pain and reactions to pain shouldn't be compared like powers or abilities. No 2 people react to pain in the same way.

Lol. That sucks. The characters' pain were never meant to compare. I think the whole point is that they are results of the corrupted Shinobi System. Doesn't matter what they went through, the cause of their pain is pretty much from the same source. Funny thing is that they happened to become some of the powerful Shinobis, I might say.Yeah, literary and emotional subjects being make competitive only causes trouble. I can't even remember how many times i've had to defend Obito and Kabuto's backgrounds from idiots who only like fireballs and flashy lights.

Seems that almost all the Top-Tier are the ones who went through pain and suffering.
Child's grief is nowhere near Itachi or any Naruto character's grief.:leaf:
I never said that Hashirama wasn't against violence. It's not like Itachi made that 'personal choice' happily, you can see tears in his eyes when he killed his mom and dad, and on top of that if you think Itachi was an anbu that means he wasn't pacifist, well I must tell you he was the guy who did biggest sacrifices in Konoha history, even Hashirama admitted it.
If it is war, we expect people to die, Hashirama's brothers and cousins got killed in the war, it's not like Hashirama was forced to kill them, unlike Itachi, so Itachi's story is far more tragic then Hashirama's :yeah:
