How Hashirama Died

He died a natural death. Why?

1) Madara has stated before that Hashirama possesses a jutsu similar to Tsunade's Byakugou.

2) Byakugou is a forbidden jutsu because it depletes the dividing capacity of cells, which can result in premature natural death when cells are unable to divide anymore.

3) Tsunade could not sustain Byakugou all the time, needing the help of the Yin seal to use it. Hashirama however, could use it all the time (probably due to his tremendous chakra reserves) without possessing a Yin seal.

4) Not realizing that the jutsu had a lethal side effect on his lifespan, Hashirama used it constantly in battles and eventually died a natural death (when his cells stopped dividing and renewing).

THEREFORE, HASHIRAMA DIED A NATURAL DEATH.

Konoha was built before the village system and the rest soon followed suit.

To even come up with the idea of the justu one would have to know how cells work in the first place and him suddenly not knowing the outcome is stupid.

it's a natural death as long as it isn't caused by anything external or pathogenic; your own cells being unable to divide anymore is neither external nor pathogenic. It's just a case of a severe reduction in the capacity of bodily functions leading to death.

First of all, there's no need to resort to personal attacks. If u don't like my argument, then defend yours and i will concede if it's reasonable. Calling me (or my argument for that matter) "stupid" doesn't instantly make your argument superior.

Second of all, remember that Naruto does adhere to ideas of modern technology despite it's mythical theme. It's reasonable to assume that in Hashirama's time, biology and science have not been developed to the extent where people understand the limits of cells division, which are genetic at its root. I don't think Hashirama knew what DNA was.

The mystery surrounding Madara death is unsolved.Hashirama said he is certain that he killed Madara in battle.That leads many unexplained questions.Is it possible that the person who became Obito sensei could have been a clone or creation by Madara?Also, Kabuto stated that he modify Madara's body;this could explain if that was truly Madara teaching Obito, how Edo Madara is still in his youthful state.


As for the OP theory, it's has been already stated that Hashirama died in a war before the creation of the other four hidden villages.

Hashirama was alive when the other four hidden villages were created.

I'm guessing Hashirama died due to poison; his instant healing can't get rid of the poison in the body as mitosis only splits cells and doesn't create new ones.
