Here's my theory about BB's ability to have 2 Devil Fruits:

I remember that we never saw BB eating the Yami Yami no Mi. Instead of that,we saw him killing Tatch.But we didn't see BB eating or taking it from Thatch's dead body, so I think T]that was not the first Devil Fruit Blackbeard ate.

I believe he had eaten A devil fruit before that which gives him the ability to take another DF's DF after killing him.So when everyone went to sleep he convinced Thatch to eat his DF and as soon as he did,BB killed him and took his powers.

He did the same with WB too.After killing him,he took his Devil fruit.I don't know the process he has to do to acquire the df he wants but I'm definitely sure that's how he does it.

Why else would Blackbeard have to kill Thatch just to get the Yami Yami when he could of just stole it and fled. This would make more sense since he wouldn't have the WB pirates trying to kill him.

There is no proof that devil fruits such as that exists.
It can't be logia, paramecia or zoan because these classes don't work like that.
That's like wishing with a genie for more wishes,it's an invalid proposal.

A devil fruit based off of devil fruits? hmm, I don't know about that man. Maybe he killed Thatch out of spite. I think I BB said that Thatch knew he wanted the fruit but wouldn't give it up to him. Don't forget Teach is a pirate too, it wouldn't be surprising for him to do so. I think the Yami Yami no Fruit lets a user take a DF power killing another DF user since it is able to negate the powers. It wouldn't be far-fetched to say that it enables the user to use other powers as well.

That would be sick and how are people seeing this as not being possible? There's a DF that allows you to turn into a jacket and take control of the user, so why not a DF based on DF? It could be a artificial DF.

nope...it won't fall under any of the tree categories then.i.e.logia,zoan and paramecia....marco explained during the war that teach has an irregular bone structure which is different from the rest...that is why he could have devil fruit powers...hopefully luffy has the same irregular body shape...

I thinkTeach having the power if two DF's is coz of his yami yami fruit, this coz of Blueno's statemants in EL that when a human/(object or creature) eats a df they get a spirit that will reside in them and if they try to consume a second df the two spirits then fight causing the body to explode(some of this was from Jabura but Blueno only changed Jabura's i cant touch df coz im already a user to physical contact doesnt matter but trying to consume a second df is what wld lead to death) Now Teach's yami can pull on df users and i think what he is pulling on is the spirit/core of a df user's powers. Then checking Smiley death incident we see that when Smiley died his power then left and went into a nearby apple and from this u can infer that when a user dies the powers will leavr their body, so maybe during the tym the power is in limbo(not in a user or fruit) if Teach tuggs on it he cld then absorb it into his body instead of it entering a fruit(which aparently is the only object that cant use df powers as a sword, a gun and even a gas can).

Nothing new.... However I think the Yami Yami no Mi's ability to absorb and attract objects allows him to steal devil fruits. But only from those of the dead (and this will also take time)....

But he didn't "EAT" Whitebeard's fruit. We know this because DF's don't respawn in the world at the moment of death or at the location of death or else Ace's would have been on the battlefield of Marineford.

OT: I said something similar before, not Teach having a DF prior to killing Thatch, but about how he might be able to have more than 2 DF's since he technically hasn't "eaten" a second fruit he somehow absorbed Whitebeard's fruit.

I think the Yami Yami is this DF that allows him to get multiple DF's. BB's DF doesn't work like other logias (imo) because there's always a little light outside. He put the blanket around WB and went inside it because inside there it's pitch dark where he can use his DF to it's full extent and instead of negating the enemy's fruit he completely makes it his own.

DFs respawn at the nearest fruit, so BB might have just taken an apple with him under that blanket.

Even though its said by Marco that Blackbeards body was different from everyone else's (either he's not human or was probably experimented on by Vegapunk or someone else) I still think its the Yami Yami no mi that allows him to steal a dead mans devil fruit. If he could have done it without the Yami Yami no mi he could have right. He wasn't necessarily weak, he was the one who gave shanks the scar on his eye.

Instead he joined Whitebeards crew in search for this one specific devil fruit. The devil fruit that was almost literally made for him or maybe he was made for it.

The yami yami fruit its what can nullify or temporarily TAKE it and its Blackbeard's body that can actually permanently seal it in himself.

Just my thoughts.
