During a Kurama flash back, the sage said that " you will always be together even if you are separated and one day, you will all become one, with different names and forms than you exist now. And unlike when you were in me, YOU WILL BE LED DOWN THE RIGHT PATH, when the time comes for you to know what true power is."

On chapter 572 page 10-11

What did he mean " You will be led down the right path " ?

Now lets get on to the part about the 10 tails.

Kurama said that the revival of the 10 tails will signal the end of the world.

But the sage said, one day you will all become one, with different names and forms that you exist now

He was referring about the Juubi being revived (different form and a different name)

There is proof that the Sage was evil or just walked down the wrong path. But he was a priest that taught Ninjutsu and the ways of peace.

But making a way to attack someone in order to create peace sure does sound like he used power to try to achieve peace.

In this manga a lot of the villains are talked out of being evil (ex: Zabuza and Haku, Pain/Nagato, and even Sasuke)

I think that the elder son (the Uchiha ancestor) and the Sage were closer than the Senju ancestor, and he was expected to be heir to his goal of finding peace.

But during his older age, his Senju ancestor son talked him into being good and about using love and understanding to achieve peace, thus naming him the successor, and making the Uchiha ancestor angry and creating the curse of hatred which was brought down through the ages.

Which leads back to, unlike when you were inside me you will be led down the right path

The sage in his olden days knew that he was wrong in his ways to achieve peace by power, and thus leads him to say, unlike when you were inside me you will be led down the right path.

Thanks for reading

I wouldn't say 'evil'

He's probably a guy who just made several mistakes in his life, and he knew that he wouldn't be the one to achieve the next step towards peace. I believe he had good intentions

Yup, this pretty much sums it up. Same as hashi really, good intentions but had to resort to violence in the end.

"unlike when you were inside me you will be led down the right path".
At least he is not that evil , cause he realized he was wrong.

A few things make me think that he was not a good guy until he was approching death.
-his story is untold or very vaguely with the idea that he was a god.
-he encrypted his story so that the descendents of one of his sons can read it , strange. The other son will rule Narutoverse but be ignorant.
-he let a huge weapon , Juubi , in the hands of the future generation , knowing that the guy who will finally be able to read the stone , will be very sad and dark thinking ( reading how to find and use the weapon=awaking sharingan , mangekyo , rinnengan=feel a lot of pain and be very sad)...

I can't wait to see his motives.

Hagoromo forcefully subdued the Jūbi with Fūinjutsu, he did not befriend it like what Naruto did with Kurama and the Bijūs, the former subjugated, the latter befriended.

Yeah, no.

He said they'll take different forms and have different names, as in plural. The Juubi is a single entity.
