He means that Obito deep down is a good person covered up with denial and rage. I find this a bit disturbing since this would be akin to finding redemption in people like Hitler or Stalin. I guess if you are a fictional mass murder, people sympathize.

It's really saying something that Naruto feels pity for the guy that made his life so miserable in part 1.

It was also really sad to see no one backing Obito when he turns around and looks, not even his mentor/savior Madara.

There was something I wanted to point out on the last panel though it probably means nothing. He says he is going to take that mask off. Either he was talking about how Obito pretended to not care or the fact that he has someone else inside him like Madara's chakra or something of the sort. I don't know if you guys remember that Naruto can sense evil intent and I doubt it is inside Obito. Madara did say he had a trump card. I hope that leads to something. >_>

Anyways lovely chapter and how everything played out.

I think Naruto meant the " metaphorical mask " this time - that Obito pretending he was no one nor he wanted to be anyone. He clearly has been trying to escape reality all this time and wanting to live in a dream world.

Obito may stop fighting but Madara is still out there ready to take over Obito or from the spot Obito loses. He will continue. I wonder if tree has it's own will as well..

Wow that was a really good chapter. I did wonder what kishi had been building the last couple of chapters and I think t came together amazingly. People seem to think the whole teamwork and tnj thing is cliche and overdone but it think the way kishi has gone about it was very good.

It was also good to see gaara and the k11 again. People wrote them off as fodder when Shika made his 'small bit of power' speech but it just goes to show how important everyone in this manga is. I give this chapter 5/5 easily, one of the best chapters in weeks.

Finnally a somewhat worthy chapter. It is nice how Naruto show to Obito the forgiveness and Naruto's desire to help him and not to hate him are things of human and bring a meaningful existence. Also when a man have support from the others, he can realize the true dream. Naruto learn too much from that speech of Itachi Uchiha!!!

The link with the other Tailed Beast with Naruto does not automatically makes him a somewhat of the Sage of Six Paths. Naruto wants to be friend with they, which mean he have tough task to befriend the shinobi with the beasts - actually that happens now!!!

Madara... is worthly to be "the last villain". But Orochimaru is more dangerous from Madara I dare to say. I would not make suppose a prediction from these two's future action, I want to be pleased with the work of Kishi.

I expect the finale of Naruto manga to be somewhat that of Dragon Ball, not as O-Parts Hunter.

4/5 awesome! Epic chapter, can't wait until next week! But I'm sad because it looks like Obito's gonna die (the bijuu being extracted from him...) and the manga's reaching it's climax and it was a short chapter.... But otherwise awesome...
